About this event
In cooperation with SCCA Hawaii, Miata Club of Hawaii, I-Club Hawaii, 808Subie and sponsorship from Servco Subaru Honolulu, the Hawaii Region Rally Program of the Sports Car Club of America will be sanctioning their Second Road Rally of the 2018-2019 Season on Sunday, October 21, 2018. The Road Rally will be held on city streets in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Due to requests to host an actual Time, Speed, Distance (TSD) Road Rally combined with needing to train our volunteers and participants, this Social Rally will have route instructions and specific check points. So both driver and navigator would be best for participant teams. But the scored results will not determine the winners. This Social Road Rally will serve as "practice" for hosting future TSD Road Rallies.
There is no entry fee. Prizes are gift certificates purchased with the generous Servco Subaru Honolulu event sponsorship funds. Prizes will be awarded by drawing raffle tickets.
Please arrive no later than 10:00 AM at the Stadium Mall parking under the Freeway Overpass.
Registration and Tech Inspection opens at 10AM, Drivers Meeting and Tech Inspection at 10:15AM, and first car out at precisely 11:00AM. The route ends in Town at/or near Ala Moana Center.
Wear comfortable clothes and shoes, no helmets required.
While the event is not a spectator event (i.e. SCCA Hawaii Rally won't charge for viewing), we know that you may want to bring your family and friends to ride along. Each participating vehicle will be allowed one “navigator” and other vehicle occupants are allowed. All vehicle occupants must sign a waiver and fill out a SCCA Weekend Membership form. For this event SCCA Weekend Membership fees are waived for volunteers and passengers.
Registration fees are $0 per car for current SCCA members and $0 for all others. Winners will be drawn at a gathering at the completion of the Road Rally. There is a no minimum pre-registered participant requirement. Car Classes are based on SCCA Hawaii RallyCross, if you're unsure of your Car Class please use TBD.
Only checks or money orders payable to SCCA Hawaii-Rally will be accepted at the event.
Please note that the non-member fee includes an SCCA Weekend membership and will give you a $15-discount towards full SCCA membership, which includes a subscription to SportsCar (our national magazine).
Event requirements
Competitors must present a valid driver’s license, and if under 18-years of age, they must contact the Region for a waiver form. This form will need to be signed by the participant’s parents prior to competition.
Each competitor will be required to present their vehicle-fully muffled, fully public road legal, legally insured with seat belts in working order-to the Tech Inspection Team at 10-10:30AM. Vehicles shall not have leaking fluids.
