3) You are not a PCA member and you will be driving a Porsche.

Do not register unless you meet one of the above conditions otherwise you will be automatically dropped.

Must be at least 18 years old to drive; 16 and 17 year olds may drive under the provisions of the PCA Junior Participation Program (JPP). See RR website for JPP details.

There are no other pre-registration requirements, other than making sure your car is mechanically sound, in good running condition and meets the 92 dB noise regulation.

If you are registering your car in any other competition class than our FUN or FUN-L classes, please note the following:

We have adopted the Zone 7 rules for classifying your car for autocross. Unlike the AX system used by the Golden Gate Region, there is no website to have you fill out information about your car. So the following provides a quick and easy way to classify your car.

Step 1: Go to the Zone 7 website and open up the 2018 rules. http://zone7.pca.org/wp-content/uploads/2018-Zone-7-Autocross-rules-final.pdf

Step 2: Read page one and decide which class you think your car should be listed. These are the general categories that deal with how much you have or have not modified your car. (S) Showroom Stock (P) Production (I) Improved or (M) Modified.

Step 3: Go to page 3 Titled Class Chart. Now decide which class your car would be listed and write this down for all the categories listed on page 1. Example: a 2007 911 Carrera could be S10, P10, I04, or M04.

Step 4: Read the allowances for each class and check the allowances against your car modifications. If you have items that are not allowed in one class may be allowed in another. Example: If we were to run our 2007 Carrera in S10 The category Show room Stock means no modifications can be made that were not factory options that year for the car except the safety allowances list on pages 10-15. If your car has items that are not allowed you can either remove them or move to the next category which would be the Production, Improved or Modified category. There you check to see if your modifications are allowed if not then you move to the next category until the allowances match your car to the correct category.

Step 5: You have decide that category and class of your car. You need that to register the car for Zone 7 autocross events. You can now look at what your PAX multiplier will be by going to page 17 of the Zone 7 rules.

Note if your car has NOT been modified, and you have the same tire size and tread wear rating that is 180 or greater you will be in Showroom Stock. Minor modifications like wider wheels, bigger stabilized bars, and engine modifications would put you in Production, Improved or Modified dependent upon the size and amount of the modifications. This is why each category has the allowance items which are all improvement considered above a showroom stock automobile.
