We all want to make the most of our fast and capable machines, don’t we? Maybe you’ve never tried a Driver’s Education event?
Well, now’s the time for you and your car to get out to High Plains Raceway! Winter excuses are long gone… The weather is good, your car trailer is no longer buried in the snow, the garage floor is nice and warm, and the kids don’t have homework… This DE marks SUMMER!!! NOW is the time to get off the recliner and into your track ride. You can test those cool new parts and horsepower improvements, take advantage of great driving instruction, and get the seat time we all need to go faster.
Please join us for our June 20 & 21 RMR DE,– whether first timer or veteran. Last year’s chair Jim Thorburn and his novice co-chair for 2015, Brian Sulley, promise plenty of excellent seat time, improved driving skills, great food and drink, camaraderie with our gear head friends, and most of all – FUN! FUN! FUN!
This event is an opportunity to support a very worthy charity: The David Bucknam Scholarship fund, http://bucknam.org/about-the-scholarship-fund/. And, we’d like to thank our title sponsor Prestige Imports and Thorburn Walker, LLC for providing post-track dinner Saturday.
Like last year, we’ll have paid corner workers, timed laps on Sunday - with some prizes “loosely related” to times - and lots of track time! Register early! We expect a sell-out as registration will be limited to 135 entrants. Please keep in mind that day-of-event walk-ins are always discouraged.
This Event will be using Deferred Billing, if you are paying with a credit card it will not be charged until Tuesday, June 16, 2015.

Registration opens at 7:00 AM Saturday and Sunday
Mandatory all drivers’ meeting at 8:00 AM,(each day) first time drivers' meeting following the drivers' meeting. (each day)

Event requirements
National PCA membership number and membership status will be verified as part of the registration process. If you do not include a valid PCA membership number (or forward a pending membership confirmation from PCA to the registrar), a $10 non-member fee will be assessed.
You must be 18 or older with a valid driver's license to participate in this event. Your driver's license will be checked at registration!
You must have a Snell-certified SA2005 or M2005 or newer helmet. You must wear long pants and long sleeve shirt (made of natural fibers) and closed toe shoes while driving. Helmets will be checked at Pre-Tech or Tech at the Track. Your helmet will need an RMR/PCA sticker. A limited number of loaner helmets are available.
No convertibles or open cars without roll bars, trucks, or non-Porsche SUVs.
We cannot accomodate two (2) driver cars if both drivers are novice drivers and attending their first DE event. Also, three (3) driver cars are not allowed.
Attendance at RMR DEs at HPR will be limited to a total of 135 drivers per day, including up to 30 Novice and Beginner drivers depending on the number of Instructors registered. Each driver is WAITLISTED until confirmed by the CDIs for the event.
Your priority in registering for an event will depend on the date and time you register. When an event fills up, further priority will be given to PCA members.
Pre-techs will be held on Wednesday, June 10th at the following locations:
- Poudre Sports Car in Fort Collins 5:30 - 7:00 pm
- Simple Automotive Solutions in Boulder 6:00 - 7:00 pm
- Prestige Imports in Denver 6:00 - 7:00 pm
Lodging available in Byers at the Longhorn Budget Host Motel contact # 303-822-5205.
Lodging is also available at the Byers Inn. Rates are $80. single occupancy and $95. double occupancy. Rooms have a private bath and a continental breakfast is included. Rooms are also available in private homes. Rates are $70 single and $85 double. These are either a shared or private bath. A continental breakfast is also included. Contact Roberta Roth at 303-822-5625 for more information or reservations. Credit cards are charged at time of reservation and there is a $25 cancellation fee.
