Are you interested in seeing what YOU can do?
The MCO Advanced Driving School is designed to give you a solid foundation in general high performance driving.
The course is two days in length with both out-of-car sessions where basics like safety, driver positioning, vehicle dynamics, and driving lines are discussed and then put into practice. You must attend both days.
Day 1: Saturday, May 24th from 6:30pm to 9pm - This will be an in-class training session at Tifosi Motorsports Lounge. The Tifosi Motorsports Lounge is located at 523 St. Anthony Street, Ottawa, Ontario (beneath the St. Anthony Soccer Club). No vehicle is required for this portion.
Day 2: Sunday, May 25th from 8am to 4:30pm - This will be a mix of training and practical application at the Canadian Tire Center (formerly Scotiabank Place/Corel Center) located in Kanata. (You are required to provide your own vehicle for the practical application. Some conditions apply, see below***)

Do I need a sports car for this?
Most definitely not! Our school is open to all types of vehicles from family station wagons, to common compacts, to high powered exotics. The only exceptions are vehicles with roll-over risks such as SUVs, trucks, and mini-vans, which we generally do not accept. For the same reason, Smart Cars are generally not permitted. If in doubt, please contact the organizers.
Who will be instructing?
Our volunteer instructors are MCO veterans with proven track records as competitors and as instructors. They typically have championships under their belts, years of experience as instructors, and experience in a wide range of cars.
Does this happen rain or dry?
While driving is usually more fun under sunny skies, rain does happen so we run, wet or dry. Take some comfort that students will tend to be warm and dry in their cars all day, unlike those making the school happen.
