About this event
This beautiful late fall tour is heading to Swannanoa, which is an Italian Renaissance Revival villa built in 1912 above Rockfish Gap on the border of northern Nelson County and Augusta County, Virginia and sits high atop the Blue Ridge Mountains at Afton. Upon arrival take in the sites of the building, its gardens and the views. Then be sure to join our group as we tour inside Swannanoa to see its imported stones and get a glimpse into the lifestyle of its day..
But ... of course our Tour Leaders made this a fun drive with lunch at Edelweiss German Restaurant in Staunton, VA!
So register for this great event then grab your favorite right seat passenger, sunglasses, camera and dress in your finest Lederhosen!

The current agenda is:
- 9:00 Meet at the Montvale Library
- 9:30 Depart on the tour
- 12:00 Lunch at Edelweiss German Restaurant in Staunton, VA
- 1:30 Depart for Swannanoa
- 2:00 Arrive at Swannanoa for garden tour
- 3:00 Group tour within Swannanoa
- 5:00 Tour ends

All ready to register for our last tour of the year? Great!
Be sure to include your favorite tour partner for this wonderful event! Bring along face masks for use during the inside portion of the Swannaoa tour. Please consider consider wearing outside when in close proximity to others.
The Tour requires registration on this site in advance of the event as we need to have a headcount for both the restaurant and the group tour. The fees associated with this tour are:
- Registration fee - $10 per car, which will benefit the 4 charities support by BRR-PCA.
- Lunch at Edelweiss German Restaurant - individual pay at the restaurant.
- Swannanoa garden tour - Free!
- Swannanoa inside group tour - $20 per person pay on site
While we encourage payment of the registration fee through this site, payment by check or cash are welcome too. Please complete registration on this site then contact tour@brr-pca.org or president@brr-pca.org to arrange payment.
