The Lone Star Chapter is proud to announce that we will have a June 19-21, 2020, Race Weekend at Circuit of the Americas (COTA).
The entry fee for now will be at $1250 for 3 days of racing. Full refund 4 weeks before the Race date of 6/19/2020. We will not charge your Credit Card until Friday May 22 (4 weeks before the event). Once you card is charged, no refunds
If we can get up to 50 race entries and beyond the entry fee will be reduced to $1000 to everyone that has registered. Limit will be 75 cars. So please we are asking that the BMW CCA Club Racers make this event a reality. .
If you have never run COTA you are missing out on one of America's best tracks. If you have, you know just how special COTA is. Members of your family will want to attend because of the tracks facilities and the culture and night life that Austin offers. It is difficult for me to get my wife to the track, but when I mention COTA, Susan is there.
One Smooth Track: COTA is going to close this winter for major work to address the bumps that Formula 1 drivers have complained about during the November 2019 US Grand Prix weekend.
The 3.4 mile Gran Prix course will be ran. Schedule will be similar (if not the same) as previous years: Friday- practice, qualifying and race. Saturday warmup/qualifying, 2 races. Sunday warmup/qualifying and a 1 hour enduro in the morning.
NASA GTS, Spec 944, Spec Boxster, Spec 996 cars welcome. Other cars will be on a case by case basis (ask first before signing up).
