2021 RMVR Lollapalooza Weekend

Pueblo Motorsports Park

About this event

Your Choice of Track Time -  Minimum or Maximum
Sprint your brains out OR do the Endurance thing.
Plus, an open Test & Tune day on Friday, exclusively for event entrants.

RMVR Performance (HPDE) Graduates can run lapping sessions on Sunday.

A Saturday evening Dinner serving L&L Hawaiian BBQ has been added as a weekend feature:    But you must have a dinner ticket to feast.   No tickie, no dinner.  Tickets must be purchased by all those eating.  No dinners are included with registration, so order how many you need for crew and guests when registering.   Because food must be ordered in advance, no dinner tickets will be sold the weekend of the event and the deadline for buying dinner tickets is the 17th of September.  (If you've already registered, please call the RMVR Admin 303-319-3062 if you wish to add dinner tickets to your registration.)

Afterwards we will have a “Most Sickening Hawaiian Shirt Competition” which will undoubtedly be hard to judge . . . . and then either gain or loose the respect of your fellow drivers and workers with the karaoke machine!  Hula dance along to the sweet sounds of people who you never thought they had it in them.

For wheel-to-wheel racing, two entry options:

  • Saturday Only -  All Sprint races.  Saturday's format is the same as any regular race weekend.  Four on-track sessions,  a morning practice session, then a separate qualifying session, then two races.  All for $235 (the Early Bird Special).
  • And for only $100 more, race both Saturday & Sunday  Sunday will be a revised Sunday Enduro Format -- actually a series of 3 Sprint races - If you opt to also race on Sunday, the Enduro format has been revised to reflect a hybrid Enduro/Sprint format. The Sunday "Enduro" will consist of four consecutive 20 minute race segments, each getting a checkered flag "Finish."   Grid for the first segment will be set by your fastest lap times taken from all of Saturday’s sessions.  After each Enduro session cars return to their pits for a leisurely 20 minute break (15 minutes plus the 5 minute grid call).  Grid positions for subsequent sessions, just like our regular sprints, will be based on finish in the prior session.  Your overall Enduro finish position is thus reflected in finish position after the fourth segment.  If you feel like that's too much track time (Ye gads!!!) you can opt to run only one, two or three of the "Enduro" segments and still get your finish results for that segment, just as if it were an individual sprint race.

For track-time gluttons, there will be an T&T day on Friday open only to Weekend entrants (Performance  HPDE entrants not eligible for Friday T&T.  Sorry):

  • $100 for the day. Morning, afternoon or full day.  Your choice.
  • There will be a $10 per car, pay at the gate, fee collected by the city.
  • Track will be hot from 8am to 4pm.
  • There will be two alternating run groups – one for production cars and one for open wheel and sports racers.
  • Due to Friday Night drags, we will be expected to use the North side of the paddock on Friday.  However, we can take over the entire paddock Saturday morning.  Please cooperate.

We are extending an invitation to past Performance (HPDE) Graduates to participate on Sunday ONLY.  They will be provided four on-track twenty minute sessions during the day. (Please Note:  The sessions for the "Invitational HPDE Grads" will be canceled if a minimum of ten entrants are not booked 10 days before the event.  If cancelled, any entrants will be notified and will not be “melded" into our regular run groups.)

Don't forget to get your Annual Tech done BEFORE you get to the track.  Here's the benefits to you of doing this.  And how to get it done.

Event requirements

Please double check that the transponder number listed for the car you are entering is correct.   THANKS.

Entering a production car which DOES NOT have an RMVR or a VMC logbook. These cars will be assigned to the "Special Run Group."  If 10 days before the event there are fewer than seven entries, the run group will be canceled.  The entrants will be notified their entry is canceled.  They will not be melded into regular RMVR run groups:

  • These cars must have a logbook from a recognized wheel-to-wheel racing organization
  • Must be nicely prepared – NO LEMONS,
  • Must pass an RMVR Event Tech Inspection and meet all RMVR safety requirements..  Regarding Fuel Cells: as long as the vehicle has passed preparation rules regarding a fuel cell (or not requiring one) by the organization issuing the logbook, the vehicle will be allowed to run.
  • Drivers must also hold a valid up-to-date medical exam AND a current Competition License.

If you are a Provisional Student with a waived car:  Recent RMVR competition school graduates may enter the same car they used during driver's school even if it has yet to obtain an RMVR logbook . It will run in our regular RMVR Run Groups. This exception is granted to aid the Student in obtaining their full Competition license. When asked for the car's "Class" please select “Provisional Student's Car."

RMVR requires a fuel cell for all cars If it doesn't have one, you won't be allowed to complete this entry. There are three exceptions.

  1. If your car has an RMVR Historic Class designation.
  2. If  the that does not have an RMVR or VMC logbook.and the organization who issued the car's logbook does NOT require a fuel cell.
  3. If you are a recent Competition School Student with a Provisional License running a car newer than 1981 which doesn't have an RMVR logbook..

If the car meets any of the above exceptions, please check "Yes" to the registration's Fuel Cell question.  This will allow you to complete your registration:

For Double-Driven cars:  If you are sharing a car with another driver for the weekend, just have the one person enter.  Only that one entry fee will apply.  To avoid another entry fee, simply CALL THE CLUB ADMINISTRATOR, 303-319-3062, to advise who the second driver is.  Don't try to enter that second driver online.  The second driver MUST also go thru registration Saturday morning and have a valid competition license and medical. Thanks.

When entering you may be required to pay a Membership Fee to complete your registration.  It will be good for the entire year.  After Labor day your RMVR membership will also be good for all of the following year.

Cancellation Policy Call 303-319-3062 for all cancellations.  No charge for cancellations 10 days before the event. (None of your registration fees will be charged).  For cancellations after that, a $50 cancellation fee will be charged. No refund for "No shows" (and we thank you for your donation).
