Thank you for registering for the Sierra Mountain Tour! We'll be departing from the Denny's at 1800 Auburn Ravine Rd, Auburn CA at 9:30AM on Saturday morning. This is right across the street from a brand new Motel 6 (1819 Auburn Ravine Road, 530-888-7829)‎and near a Comfort Inn (1875 Auburn Ravine Road, 530-885-1800‎) if you wish to drive up on Friday night.

We'll drive 136 miles through backroads that you've never even heard of and then stop for lunch in South Lake Tahoe.

After lunch, we'll backtrack down Hwy 50 a bit and proceed for another 150 miles through more roads you've never heard of taking us up and over Carson Pass (elevation 8650') and then down to our stopping point on Saturday night, Topaz Lodge (Now owned by Super 8) overlooking Topaz Lake, NV. Please reserve your rooms ASAP!! The Topaz Lodge has 2 restaurants on-site as well as a bar, casino, and a Chevron! (http://www.topazlodge.com 800-962-0732)

On Sunday, we'll proceed up Monitor (elevation 8314') and Ebbetts (elevation 8730') passes and eventually down into a few Calaveras County backroads before returning us to the Bay Area.

Please bring:

1) A full tank of gas on Saturday & Sunday mornings,

2) A well maintained clean vehicle (check your tire pressure & condition, fluid levels, clean excess items out of your car)

3) Water/snacks

4) A 2-way radio

5) A camera to take pictures!

6) Your hotel reservation confirmation just in case!
