BMW CCA - Tarheel Chapter

Friday Jul 3 - Sunday Jul 5, 2009

Virginia International Raceway, Alton, VA

Students: Tarheel Chapter members of the BMWCCA are the only registrations accepted during the first 10 days, then if the student count is not sufficient to fill the school, other CCA members will be allowed to register. Registrations will be considered on a time-stamped basis.  The first (number based on track configuration) students to register will be confirmed and the next 8 will be waitlist-confirmed. Wait listed students will not be allowed to pay until confirmed into the school.

Instructors: Once you indicate that you are available to instruct this event, you will wait to be confirmed as being needed for staffing this event.  Instructors do not pay on line.

When you are confirmed, please go to www.tarheelbmwcca.org and download your packet.  Thank you for being available to instruct. Remember that Friday is available as orientation day for all instructors who are working the Saturday and Sunday event.

ALL IN-CAR INSTRUCTORS MUST HAVE WORKING COMMUNICATORS and MUST HAVE A PASSENGER SEAT..You will be assigned two students. We strive for an A & C or B & D to enable you to refresh yourself between students, and allow time to greet and debrief your students.  It is required that you do the written evaluation of your students and review it with them as part of your duties.  Sign offs are approved by the CI team prior to letting the student drive without you.  Sign offs should only be done if you are willing to bet your reputation, as an instructor, on the good judgment and skill level of the student.  We do not subscribe to signing- off D level students and reserve the sign off process until Sunday afternoon for C students. In the event of changing conditions, such as rain, signed-off students should be ridden with for one session to insure that they have adjusted to the conditions.  Ride with your students the first session on Sunday, even if they have been signed off on Saturday.

The Instructor's scores from the students attending the March school were excellent.  Congratulations. Keep up the good work. BTW, Instructors and students may view their March evaluation summaries under "log book" as soon as the msr.com staff make it available to you.  JoElla
