Event Requirements

ORPCA HPDE September 18th

Event Requirements

Registration Closed: Thu Sep 11, 2008 12:00A (Pacific time)

All participants must be 18 years or older. You must posses a valid Drivers License and you should carry insurance both liability and collision to help minimize financial exposure. Note that most insurenace companies no longer cover Driver Ed Events. Please check your policy and with your insurer.

PCA requires a Snell SA or M 2000 helmet rating. You can view the complete requirements on our web site a www.oregonpca.org select HP Driver Ed from the Quick Link menu.

An ANNUAL TECHNICAL INSPECTION is REQUIRED for all participants cars at the shop of your choice.

At the first few events we noted that a few of you have chosen shops that are not really familiar with Motorsports or your specific automobile. This is your choice but I want to remind you that you are required to bring a track worthy vehicle to our events. A shop familiar with the stresses and wear experienced in track driving and with your specific automobile will do a better job of this inspection and correction of any necessary items for you.

There are many of these shops available in the Portland area. If you are not aware of these shops your respective car club should be able to point you to a shop with the experience needed.
