Event Requirements

Races will follow the NSKC Rulebook, with the exception of Class Structure and the supplementary rules listed below.


Supplemental Rules

  • Race starts will be a LeMans style start. Kart engine can be running prior to start.

  • This event will have a “Hot Pit” during all sessions, Pit road speed will be 10 mph and enforced by radar.

  • Engine must be shut off, the driver must exit the kart, and must be on kart stand before service starts. Service includes refueling, changing of tires, transponder replacement or any repair work to kart. If the any of the items listed above are violated the team or driver will be penalized 30 seconds from their overall race time after the event has been completed.

  • Fuel tank MUST BE the OEM tank for that make and model of chassis. This will be strictly enforced. We will DQ you.

  • New tires for the start race after practice/qualifier are ok. Tires used at start of race must be used for the entire race distance. We will be marking tires on grid prior to race start. This will be strictly enforced.

  • Exceptions to tire rule will be if tire has a manufactures defect or tire becomes damaged during the race and is un safe for use. Race Director approval needed for tire changes.

  • Onboard or external starters can be used during the event, all onboard starter components and systems are allowed for this event.

  • Spare karts are allowed during the event. If spare kart is used, it is recommended have the same number on all sides as the primary kart.

  • It is the team or drivers responsibility to make sure their transponder is installed and working properly. We will be timing practice if you want to make sure your transponder is reading properly. Don’t forget to charge your transponder!

  • All four tires of the kart must be on the ground when it is started during pit stops, no revving in the air and dropping the kart.
