Race Requirements:

Event will be open to all drivers holding a valid SCCA membership and licensed per GCR 3.1.5 of the 2015 GCR

Driver Eligibility: This event is open to Intermediate and Advanced drivers only. A valid state vehicle driver’s license is required. Time Trial and Club Racing Novice License holders must turn in credentials when registering at the track and must get them back from the Chief Steward at the end of the event.

Required Drivers Safety Equipment: Drivers will be required to have the following safety equipment and present them for Tech Inspection with their vehicle: helmet meeting Snell M2000+ or SA2000+ requirements or higher, suitable eye protection, long sleeve shirt, long pants, and shoes that fully cover the foot to at least the ankle. Driving gloves are not required but are recommended. For Drivers using race prepared vehicles it is recommended that they be fully covered by at least one layer of an accepted fire resistant material.

Vehicle Eligibility: Open to all vehicles conforming to the following

1. Street legal cars with current and valid registration

2. Vehicles prepared to the Solo Rules classes of Stock, Street Prepared, Street Touring

3. Vehicles prepared to SCCA GCR classes of Showroom Stock, Spec Miata, Touring or Improved Touring

All cars must pass tech prior to being permitted on the track. All vehicles used by drivers in the Intermediate class must have a passenger seat and restraints.

Any car that is street legal will be waived from the roll bar/roll cage requirements except for convertibles and targa-top automobiles. These vehicles must use a factory supplied hardtop, or have a roll bar installed that meets SCCA TTR rules for PDX.

Vehicle Numbers: All participating vehicles must have two-digit identification numbers on both sides of the vehicle of suitable size, shape and contrast to be easily read. We will try and to meet all numbering requests that are made via the registration forms. However numbers are assigned by the registrar and will be on the outside of your track registration packet. Temporary numbering materials will be available at Tech Inspection.

Technical Inspection Requirements: All drivers are required to fill out a 2016 PDX Tech Sheet.pdf. (Forms may be downloaded by clicking on this link) prior to presenting their vehicle for inspection. Vehicles must be presented for Tech Inspection to receive an event tech sticker. NO VEHICLES WILL BE PERMITTED ON TRACK WITHOUT A TECH STICKER. It is the participant’s responsibility to bring a compliant vehicle to the track.

Participants with non-compliant vehicles will be given a refund minus a $25.00 cancellation fee.

Any vehicle judged to be in an unsafe operating condition at any time during the event shall be prohibited from further participation until the condition is corrected and approved by the Technical Inspector.
