"High Plains Thunder" Advanced Solo DE
NOTE: This driver's education event is open only to experienced drivers. The event is in conjunction with the National Club Race being held the same weekend. Anyone that has not been cleared by the RMR driving instructors for independent driving on the track can not participate in the event.
Date: Saturday, August 11, 2012 and Sunday, August 12, 2012
Gates open at 6:00 AM
*Registration begins at 7:00 AM in the Classroom (Saturday and Sunday)
Registration will be available on Friday at 3:30 PM in the Classroom
MANDATORY all drivers’ meeting at 8:00 AM
Location: High Plains Raceway, 17 miles east of Byers on US-36

Budget Host Longhorn Motel – Byers, CO - 303-822-5205. This is an older facility, but clean and closer to the track.
Event requirements
National PCA membership number and membership status will be verified as part of the registration process. If you do not include a valid PCA membership number (or forward a pending membership confirmation from PCA to the registrar), a $10 non-member fee will be assessed.
You must be 18 or older with a valid driver's license to participate in this event.
This event is open only to experienced drivers, you must have clearance from the RMR Driving Instructors for independent track driving to participate.
You must have a Snell-certified SA2005 or M2005 or newer helmet. You must wear long pants and long sleeve shirts (natural fiber), and closed toe shoes while driving.
No convertibles or open cars without roll-over protection. No trucks or non-Porsche SUVs.
