TCRA puts the FUN back into driving! Touring Car Racing Association is So Cal's premiere club organized for hobbyist drivers with cars of all types to race at Willow Springs, Buttonwillow Raceway, Laguna Seca, Las Vegas, and other tracks near the Southern California region. We are a club with an emphasis on enjoyable, yet competitive driving weekends. Our members are skilled drivers looking to enjoy their cars on full-course race track for a weekend. With Touring Car Racing Association you'll enjoy:
The Concept of TCRA Touring Car Racing Association was founded in 1995 by a group of car enthusiasts who realized they had no satisfactory way of really enjoying the handling and speed of their sports cars. They wanted to explore the potential of both themselves and their cars driving at high speeds in a safe and controlled environment. Thus, was born Touring Car Racing Association. The concept is simple: get enough people interested in doing the same thing, pool their resources, and they'll have access to something they otherwise would not. In TCRA's case, this is race tracks, and professionally experienced race organizers. Unlike formalized sanctioned racing, TCRA allows you to drive your car at whatever level of modification, from straight stock to fully race prepared, on permanent road course race tracks. Maybe you want a low-cost way to see if race driving really is as fun as it sounds, or you just want to vent a little need for speed without Smokey on your tail? Either way, TCRA offers a safe and supervised environment to test your skills, the limits of your car, and most of all have a great deal of fun driving your car in a way you just can't achieve on the streets and highways. |
Event requirements
TCRA would prefer for you to have a SA2000 or newer helmet. But, if this is your first time with us, TCRA will allow the use of a motorcycle helmet or a helmet that is older than SA2000. We also require that you bring a pair of gloves.
Trackside check-in starts at 7:30am Saturday. You must have your car inspected ("tech"). Pre-tech your car at one of our official tech sites and save yourself a lot of time, which will help us stay on schedule. Our official tech sites will charge $10. We do offer a trackside tech, but a fee of $20 will be charged at registration. (Free tech inspection is available usually on the Saturday before the event 10am-2pm at TCRA hq).
Driver's meeting starts at 8:30am, and is mandatory for all drivers.
Event fees do not include facility entry fees or overnight camping fees. These are paid directly to the track.
