Driving School and Track Day
"BEAT THEM TO THE START"
THE SEASONS FIRST PERFORMANCE DRIVING SCHOOL AND OPEN PRACTICE

Limited to first 45 cars
This event follows ORP "The Raceway Experience" on Saturday, February 25th.
You are Welcome to come early and enjoy our non-speed event prior to the school/track day. You can register on www.motorsportsreg.com.
Open to all drivers 18 years and over. All drivers without prior track experience are required to have an instructor.
$205.00 (no extra charge for additional cars same driver).
Second driver same car $100.00
Classroom Free!
Instructor fee $100.00 (6 - 30 minute sessions or until checked off to solo).
Rental Cars Available $500.00 / day
Registration after 2/16/2012 $90.00 procrastination fee.
Registration day of event $200.00 procrastination fee.
Unless you can tell us a story we haven't heard, in writing so we can publish it, we may reduce the penalty (but don't count on it).
Free dry camping at the track Saturday night.

Tentative Schedule:
7:00 am: Gates open
7:15 am: Check-In, Instructor Assignments & Tech Inspection
8:00 am: Driver's Meeting (mandatory)
8:15 am: Course Walk "Motorized Tour"
9:00 am: Cars on Course
Noon: Track Closed for Lunch
1:00 pm: Cars on Course
5:00 pm: Event End
STAR Projects prefers to run an open track format and will only assign groups or further define the schedule as is necessary for safety.
This event is limited to 45 cars, so there is plenty of track time available.
We will be running in the Clockwise direction, but if sufficient interest exists, we will run CounterClockwise the last hour of the day.

Event requirements
Rules, Good Advice etc. (Most of mine, some of the tracks)
- All persons entering O.R.P. are required to sign a release and wear at all times the issued security wrist band. (Yes, on your wrist, either side, your choice).
- Paddock spaces on a first come basis. Your guests are welcome, however do to the size of current motor homes, it may be necessary to move nonessential vehicles from the paddock areas.
- For those that arrive after hours. O.R.P. Provides a large parking area East of the front gate. (If you are sleeping on the ground, the gravel there is guaranteed to be as comfortable as the gravel inside the facility).
- All cars are subject to Tech inspection. Vehicles with removable tops (convertibles) must be equipped with an adequate roll bar (the broom stick test applies).
- All cars must be equipped with seat belts and securely mounted seating for the driver and instructor if you are signing up for the school. A 2000 or newer Snell rated helmet and eye protection is required. All manor of personal safety gear is encouraged.
- Passengers, other than STAR Certified Instructors, are not allowed.
- Cars will run with the door windows all the way up or all the way down. If running with the windows up, the car must be equipped with functioning turn signals to be used to signal passing (in lieu of point-by).
- 92 octane unleaded non-ethanol fuel will be available on site from the track. It is $5.50 / gal. You may bring your own.
- All spills must be reported immediately to the track staff to avoid damage to the pavement.
- Bring what you need. Grass Valley is a town of less than 200 people in a county of less than 1,800 people. (The nearest approximation of a city is The Dalles 50, miles away).
- Food vendors may be on site or you can order a box lunch in advance and have it delivered to the track at noon for around $10.00.
- There is no running water at the track.
- Electrical hook-ups are not available (bring a generator if you need power).
- O.R.P. is typically sunny, dry and cold this time of year. The track is at 2,500 feet. The wind can be very brisk be sure to plan extra ways to tie down canopies and awnings.
- O.R.P. is dog friendly. Pick up after them and keep them on a leash when the track is hot.
- O.R.P. uses 100.1 FM to broadcast track announcements. (Bring your boom-box).
