Join in for our second of two weekend events in the Nevada desert for 2010. We have two of the best weather weekends of the year at what, for many people, is the best track in the west, Spring Mountain. This event runs October 16-17. Originally designed as a training facility for the national Corvette driving academy, the track has been meticulously designed to encompass one of every type of turn you might encounter at any other track. Most drivers find their car control skills jump to the next level after driving this track. At our October event we'll be driving the extended 3.1 mile course.
To register online and save $30, we require that you join our group here on MotorsportReg.com. Regardless of which region of PCA you belong to or if you don't belong to PCA at all, you must join the SDR group on this web site. This will be done as a step in the registration process. Non-Porsches that meet our rules are welcome!!!
Taste of the Track: If you'd like to experience the thrill of a Time Trial without actually taking the wheel you may sign up for our Taste of the Track program. For $100 you will receive all communications that our drivers receive, participate in all drivers meetings, and ride along in the passenger seat of one of our skilled Instructor's cars all weekend. In short, you'll receive the same experience as one of our Students without actually driving. To register for Taste of the Track simply sign up as if you were a Student participating in the event but in the Notes to the Registrar section enter "Taste of the Track". Prior to your card actually being charged, your total due will be adjusted to $100.
Event Hotel: The event hotel for our fall weekend at Spring Mountain is the Pahrump Nugget at 681 South Highway 160, Pahrump, NV 89048. $69.99 Friday night, $79.99 Saturday night, single or double and you must mention the Porsche Club/Jack Miller room block prior to October 1. Reservations may be made by calling (866) 751-6500. It is suggested that you ignore the hotels.com link to the right of this page and contact the event hotel directly.
Late Registration: You must register by 11:59 pm PDT October 1 to receive the discounted online rate; after that a $25 late fee applies through October 11. Online registration closes at 11:59 pm PDT October 11, after which significantly higher on-site registration fees apply. If unable to register online, you may register by faxing in the standard form available in the Windblown Witness or on the pcasdr.org website (higher fees apply).
Payment: You MUST use a credit card to pay if registering online, VISA or MasterCard only. For complete event pricing details proceed with registration steps. You will have a chance to confirm after you make your selections. Card billed AFTER the event.
Note: Your account can only be used to register yourself! Every entrant, including a co-driver, needs their own MotorsportReg.com account.

Event requirements
Prior experience: Participants without a Zone 8 Competition Permit (or approved equivalent) must have completed at least 8 Autocross and/or DE and/or Driving School days or equivalent over the past 9 to 18 months.
All novice drivers will be required to have an Instructor. Drivers new to SDR events may also be required to have an Instructor until their competency has been demonstrated.
Pre-tech is strongly encouraged! Please try to take your car in for service and have it thoroughly inspected prior to this event. With two full days of our high track time event in the Nevada Desert, you will want to be safe and have your car make it through the weekend. All entrants pre-teching must present a Tech Inspection form with name, address, phone, car, class, etc. to a qualified tech inspection shop. The form can be found at: http://www.pcasdr.org/img/pdf/general/AXRegForm.pdf. The Tech Inspection form has changed for 2010. Please download the new form using the link above. Do not use the old form. Cars inspected by shops not personally known to the Registrar are subject to random on-site re-inspection.

If there are any changes to your registration data after the online registration deadline, you need to notify the Registrar by the day of the event BEFORE the first run session.
All entrants and guests shall be required to sign the PCA waiver upon registering at the track. This is in addition to any waiver that the track itself may require you to sign. You are responsible for your guests and may be asked to leave the event if your guests are found to have not signed the PCA waiver.
The track may charge its own separate nominal entrance fee. This fee does not go to PCA and is beyond our control.
Transponders: If you have a transponder, be sure you've entered the number under "My Account." (Hint: you do this where you edit your vehicle information.) If you don't have a transponder, they are available for rent and you must have a transponder to drive.
