PNWR’s May 11-12-13 Tour focuses on Walla Walla.
The Walla Walla Tour ran for the first time in 2011 and is back for more this year. Last year we shared the weekend with a rebel offshoot of the Ferrari Club and the annual Balloon Stampede. The Ferrari people seemed to spend most of their time caressing their cars in between laps of the hotel parking lot. The balloon people had big plans but the weather, bad if you were sitting at the bar, was seriously bad if you were trying to inflate a big silk bag with an overgrown propane torch. Hot air balloons combined with thunder, lighting, and hail just didn’t work out well. You’ve never seen a flock of balloons go by as fast as they did that night. Whoosh! Just for fun we’ve invited the Balloon People back to try again, the Stampede is again the same weekend as our tour. While the Porsche tourists had a good time last year in spite of the stormy weather, we’ll keep our fingers crossed for better weather, both for Balloons and Porsches. In any case we’ll be enjoying a nice drive on Friday, several optional tours on Saturday, and a nice dinner Saturday Night at the event hotel, the Marcus Whitman in downtown Walla Walla
On Friday we’ll make our drive from the Issaquah Burger King to Walla Walla’s Marcus Whitman Hotel with a trip up Yakima Canyon and a picnic lunch along the way. Be sure to bring along a nice lunch for the picnic and a blanket to sit on. For the last minute picnic shoppers we'll be stopping at the Ellensburg Fred Meyer on the way.
Saturday will bring a choice of wine and driving tours with a buffet dinner and social event to wrap up the day. Sunday will be a self guided day homeward bound. Walla Walla offers a great selection of shops, restaurants, scenic drives, and of course, world class wineries. Walla Walla is only an hour drive past Tri-cities.
The Saturday night social and buffet dinner will be $72 / person including:
House-made Breads and Butter and Seasonal Fruit and Berry Tray
Traditional Caesar Salad w/ Sun-dried Tomatoes, Shaved Parmesan, Black Olive Focaccia Croutons and Caprese Salad w/ House-made Mozzarella, Balsamic Reduction, Basil Infused Oil
Roasted Marble Potatoes and Seasonal Roasted Vegetable Mélange
Grilled Draper Valley Chicken Breast with a Charred Tomato Relish and Balsamic Reduction
Corn Meal Crusted Trout with a Lemon Chive Butter Sauce
Carved Double R Ranch Prime Rib of Beef with Au Jus and Horseradish Cream
Godiva Chocolate & Raspberry Torte with Coffee
A cash bar will be available and plus available corkage at $10 / bottle. The social and buffet starts at 6pm.

Registration for the tour does not include the hotel reservation.
The room block will be released April 16th. Registration for the event and dinner closes May 7th.
Event requirements
Tour Requirements:
- Cancellations and refunds: Please read and understand this policy before registering. Up until Two Weeks before the event, you may cancel and receive a refund for portions of the event paid directly to PNWR. Hotel Reservations must be cancelled within the policy of the hotel. For additional information, email the event chair at tours@pnwr.org.
- Car club membership: To participate you should be a member of the PCA and PNWR. Porsche owners who are not members may register and receive a special invitation on a case-by-case basis.
- Non-Porsches on the Tour: Unless the tour is specifically intended for a particular type of Porsche you may bring other makes of car to the tour. ...but why would you want to do that?

For Adult participants and attendees: Please print and sign the event waiver, and bring it with you to give to the tour organizer the day of the tour. All passengers and drivers need to sign.

- Age and driver's license restrictions: All drivers must be at least 16 years old and in possession of a valid US driver's license at the time of the Tour. A restricted/learners permit is not acceptable. For participants under 18 years old, the participant and his/her parents must sign an additional waiver and the participant must attend with at least one parent or legal guardian. - Registering for Passengers: Please make sure to include the names of any passengers riding with you in the space provided during registration. If you have two cars on the tour each car and driver should register with a separate Motorsportreg account.
