Dixie Region Solo Event #9

November is the Turkey Shoot Out!  The event will follow the format of the popular Evolution Super Shoot out. For our purposes, the event will run like two events in one.  Everyone will get 4 runs to start with and those runs will determine the class finishing and points positions for November for the Dixie Region Points Championship Series . The top 16 in PAX after 4 runs will set the first half of the Shoot out field.  If you are not in the top 16, you will run in a Last Chance Turkey Qualifier (LCTQ).  The LCTQ will give everyone else 2 more runs and the top 8 from the group in PAX will have a secured spot in the Shoot out.  The final 8 spots in the Shoot out will be filled using a random draw so stick around! In the Shoot out, there will be two brackets of 16.  The match ups will be set using a ladder format based on PAX times.  In the first round of the Shoot out, cars come to the line in pairs and each car gets two runs back to back.  The car and tires can not be touched between runs.  The winning car moves on to round 2 and the other car is eliminated from the Shoot out. During round 2 of the Shoot out, the cars again come up in pairs, but each car only gets one run.  Again the winning car moves on to the next round and the other car is eliminated.  This continues through both brackets until there are four cars left - the final two cars standing from bracket 1 and the final two cars standing from from bracket 2. The 2nd place car from each bracket will be competing for 3rd and 4th place and the 1st place car from each bracket will be competing for 1st & 2nd place.  The cars will come up in pairs and each car will get 2 runs with up to 2 minutes between each run- adjustments will be allowed. The 3rd place finisher will get a free entry to a future Dixie Region Event, the 2nd place finisher will get $75 and a free entry to a future Dixie Region Event and the 1st place finisher will get $150 and a free entry to a future Dixie Region Event!!
