PCA - Wilderness Trail - VIR

Virginia International Raceway

About this event

The Wilderness Trail Region of the Porsche Club of America would like to invite you to participate in a High Performance Driver's Education event to be held at Virginia International Raceway on Thursday, September 11, 2008. This is a Full Course 3.2 mile event. Non-PCA members will be allowed. Convertibles should have pre-approved roll bar/cage. Contact Event Chair for approval. A limited number of entries will be accepted. We will have 3 run groups: Novice, Intermediate, Instructors/Advanced. Instructors may allow a Novice to advance to Intermediate or Intermediate/Solo at their descretion. Novice group shall have 3 passing zones, Intermediate shall have 4 passing zones, and Instructors/Advanced shall have 5 passing zones.

The event schedule is here....      http://www.lwav.net/DEsched08.doc

Instructors - $75

All Instructors will receive a very nice free standing sign which is yours to keep. These signs should be placed at your paddock location.

Novice, Intermediate, or Advanced - $225

2nd Driver - $225         Passengers - 17 and older - $25

Non-PCA Member Fee - $25

This year we will have a limited number of instructors who will volunteer to take passengers. This is a good opportunity to observe the proper line and technique. The passenger will be allowed to ride for the entire session. Last March the ride along program was a great success. See...  http://www.lwav.net/FastRide.xls

Intermediate Drivers must realize that the additional weight and distraction of a passenger will directly effect the handling of the car. Therefore it is strongly recommended that the driver take additional cautionary measures including but not limited to lowering your speed. It is assumed Instructor/Advanced drivers already possess this knowledge.

Get your Pre-Tech form here...   http://www.lwav.net/tech_inspection.doc
