You, Your Car, 1 track, 4 Miles, 2 days. 

The Challenge Club Ferrari Racing Series competeing in the FORZA Challenge is coming to Road America July 23-24, 2014. 

Come out and Drive your car on track and watch the Ferrari's battle it out for points on both days as they race to the finals at Homestead in October!

 The Series will be running Practice, Qualifying, and 2 Races throughout the 2 days. 

We will have an Advanced, Intermediate and Novice Run Groups. 

 

Event Fees

2 Day Entry: $395

1 Day Entry: $270 

Additional Driver: $95

Instructor: $75

Passengers: $25

Catering: 1 day $25, both days $50.

Event requirements

PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE DOCUMENT BEFORE YOU REGISTER. It contains valuable information about the school, registration, and the rules of the day. Forms mentioned in this text are immediately available via the links.

Before to attend event, please fill in our tech and medical forms, print it and bring with you at the track for inspection. The day before event (Tue.July 22) while we are unload our rigs, we are going to do tech inspection for Ferrari Challenge cars and for street cars. If you will be there this day, bring your car with completed forms (tech and medical) to trailer “Praga Challenge”. 

After your car inspected we will give you tech sticker and assigned wristband. If you fail tech you will not be allowed on track. Pit marshal will not allow you to go to track if you don’t have proper wristband (left hand please). If you signed for both days, on next day in drivers meeting we will give you new wristband different color. 

 

Run Groups

Drivers are assigned to one of three run groups commensurate with their experience. Please select the run group that you have your most recent experience in, and be sure to update your driving history in the MotorsportReg.com history file.

  •   Novice -   0-5 days track experience,just getting started would expect to be classified as novice with an assigned instructor Passing requires a point-by passing signal, and passing zones are restricted to straightaways only.
  • White - drivers are considered Intermediate level drivers.  Holding 8+ track days at this track.  Knowledge of track rules and driver etiquette are mandatory. Passing requires a point-by signal, and passing zones are restricted to straightaways only.

  • Red - run group is for VERY ADVANCED level drivers with significant experience and who have been driving in the advanced level groups for several years usually in the 35+ track day range for this trackPassing requires a point-by signal, and passing zones are unrestricted.

The event steward reserves the right to review your driving history and reassign your run group or remove your registration based on his review of your history. 

 

                        RULES:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older with a valid driver's license - no exceptions.
  • Convertibles (both soft and folding hardtop models), cars with removable tops, trucks, pickups, vans and SUVs are not permitted without roll bars . Lotus Elise and Corvettes with a targa roof are allowed, but Corvette convertibles are not.For convertibles, car must pass the " broomstick" rule (the helmeted drivers head is below a bar placed on top of the roll bar and windshield).
  • Passengers -  are allowed in the intermediate group and above. They must sign a waiver, receive a passenger wristband, and pay the $25 fee and be wearing a helmet. May sit only in the front seat. Any spin or loss of control when a passenger is in the car will result in termination of passenger privileges and possible expulsion from the event.
  1. All drivers meeting are mandatory.
  2. Assigned car numbers must be on the two doors. 
  3. Anyone driving in an unsafe manner will be expelled from the event immediately. You must drive within your abilities and exercise good judgment.
  4. Passing only in designated areas as discussed in the drivers meeting.   In the Green group no passing is allowed in the turns. 
  5. Passing of a slower car cannot occur until the driver of the slower car gives the "passing signal". The passing signal shall be given by extending the left arm out the driver’s window and pointing toward the passing side.
  6. A clear signal for each car passing is required.
  7. The slower car should stay on-line and "lift" if necessary so that the pass can be completed safely. 
  8. Watch your mirrors. If a car appears in your mirror the driver IS faster than you. Signal the driver to pass as you enter the next passing zone. 
  9. Pay attention to the location of the corner workers. That's how corner workers communicate with you.
