About this event
Witch Way Weekend
At Chuckwalla Valley Raceway
October 30 and 31, 2010
The San Diego BMWCCA and PCA (Porsche Club) have joined forces to host a weekend of driving at our Newest SoCal Racetrack. The new track is located about 50 miles East of Palm Springs just off Highway 10 in sunny Desert Center. This new track is approximately 3 miles long and 40 feet wide everywhere. With several bits of very well engineered Elevation, this track provides the most elevation changes outside of Willow Springs. These elevation changes provide several diving blind corners and a Banked bowl turn with the same Banking as Cal Speedway’s front straight.
The San Diego PCA will be hosting Saturday Oct 30 as a traditional PCA DE event, so all Saturday Entrants must conform to the PCA safety rules, which are very similar to BMWCCA http://www.pcasdr.org/porsche_events/prepare/rules/index.php
Entry for Saturday will be $150 prior to October 15 and $175 after.
San Diego BMWCCA will be hosting Sunday Oct 31 the opposite direction as a familiarization/fun/test day, which means there will be NO working instructors. This will be a day were everyone is driving, with run groups divided primarily by different Passing levels, from a near open to straights only. All instructors, racers, and A group students are welcome to attend, as well as PCA members with a competition license.
Entry for Sunday will be $150 prior to October 15 and $175 after.
We encourage all Instructors, racers and A students to attend this event as this may become the San Diego Chapters new “Home” track for our annual DE/Club Race.
Please see the respective sites for Registration info or contact the event chairs for details.
