Event requirements

Rules, Good Advice etc.(Most of mine, some of the tracks)

  • All persons entering O.R.P. are required to sign a release and wear at all times the issued security wrist band. (Yes, on your wrist, either side, your choice).
  • We will make every attempt to assign Pit and Paddock spaces that will be in accordance with the needs of the Lemons event without having to move. (Nobody wants to set up twice).
  • To provide room for critical support equipment it may be necessary to move all nonessential vehicles from the paddock areas.
  • For those that arrive after hours. O.R.P. Provides a large parking area East of the front gate.  (If you are sleeping on the ground, the gravel there is guaranteed to be as comfortable as the gravel inside the facility).
  • All cars are subject to Tech inspection and will conform to regular and customary safety requirements for the type of event in which the car is normally entered. (ie: A track day sedan needs a good seat belt and helmet. A GT-1 car needs a Snell 2005 or better helmet, full fire suit, fuel cell, on board fire system, full roll cage stamped by the prevailing sanctioning body. etc.).
  • 92 octane unleaded non-ethanol fuel will be available on site from the track. It is $5.50 / gal. You may bring your own.
  • Most of the hot pits are on a slight incline; all cars must have at least one wheel chalked during driver changes and especially when fueling.
  • All fueling and practice fuel stops will be done with a fire extinguisher and person on duty whose sole job is to operate it.
  • All spills must be reported immediately to the track staff to avoid damage to the pavement.
  • Bring what you need. Grass Valley is a town of less than 200 people in a county of less than 1,800 people. (The nearest approximation of a city is The Dalles 50, miles away).
  • Food vendors may be on site or you can order a box lunch Friday morning and have it delivered to the track at noon for around $10.00.
  • There is no running water at the track.
  • Electrical hook-ups are not available (bring a generator if you need power).
  • O.R.P. is at 2,500 feet. It can get cool at night. The stars are beautiful. The wind can be very brisk be sure to plan extra ways to tie down canopies and awnings.
  • O.R.P. is dog friendly. Pick up after them and keep them on a leash when the track is hot.
  • O.R.P. uses 100.1 FM to broadcast track announcements. (Bring your boom-box).
