HPDE June 20-21 2009

Oregon Raceway Park

About this event

Join ORPCA for a day of fun and learning on the track with your car and fellow motorsports enthusiasts. You can find all about our program on www.oregonpca.org select HP Drivers Ed from the Quick Links menu.

This event is an instructed two day event at the New Oregon Raceway Park track near Grass Valley Oregon. For those of you with RV's or tents come on out and camp with us. The closest motels are about 30 minutes away.

We have registration packages for one day (either Saturday or Sunday) or both days. You will find this on the registration form. We will offer instruction for drivers requesting an instructor. The event will run with the standard HPDE format. Four run groups with four run sessions of about 25 minutes per session. As always the schedule depends on many factors.

NOTE: This track is an advanced race track requiring mastery of fundamental track skills. There is no time to teach driving fundamentals. We will only have time in the car to teach the track line at this event. If you feel you have the fundamentals of track driving down and have been approved to solo in novice class, then you are probably fine to register. You can find what we think comprise these skills is on the Advice, Guidelines and Rules under Driver Benchmarks/Run group qualifications, on our web site at www.oregonpca.org.

What we have done with the registration is all novices will be placed on a wait list and we will scrutinize the applicants and accept those we feel will be able to handle this advanced race track...

You are welcome to sign up. You won't have to pay unless/until we accept you for the event.

If you have any questions that are not answered on our web site feel free to drop me an email at dechair@oregonpca.org or call me at 503 970 4848
