WHAT IS AUTOCROSS?
Autocross is a timed contest of driving skill. Speeds and hazards to spectators, participants, and property do not exceed those found in normal, legal highway driving. We think it is much more fun than street driving and you can't get a speeding ticket! Best of all, you can enter in your everyday street car!
This school will introduce you to Solo driving, teach you some of valuable driving skills and give you a chance to try them out in a controlled environment. There will be in car instruction from experienced drivers and coaches.
NEW FOR THIS YEAR - Friday Evening Classroom Session
New for the 2012 year, we will be offering a classroom session open to all that will cover basic vocabulary, driving technique and introductions. This will allow us to get off to a very brisk start Saturday morning to maximize the amount of behind-the-wheel time the students have.
Please note: Attendance to the Friday evening is not required but is strongly recommended for anyone new to the sport or performance driving.
All vehicles must pass safety inspection on the following points prior to running: seat belts, throttle return action, secure battery, no oil or antifreeze leaks, adequate brake pedal, tire condition, wheel bearings. All loose items, snap-on hubcaps, detachable fender skirts and trim rings must be removed. Real shoes are required (no sandals or flip-flops). Helmets are required (Snell M2000/SA2000 or newer) with limited loaners available.
NO ALCOHOL ON SITE - NO MINORS ON GRID
SCCA Member - $50
Non SCCA Member - $65
