“El Dorado National Forest Tour”

Sat & Sun, June 8-9^th

 

 

 

It’s time we head East and discover the beautiful landscapes of “El Dorado National Forest” and drive through thru the historical gold-bearing riverside of the American river.

Our tour starts at Porsche of Livermore for a hosted breakfast at 7:30 am (pending confirmation); driver’s meeting at 8:15 am and departure at 8:30 a.m.  Backcountry driving thru El Dorado County with a lunch stop at Old Town Auburn. 

Lunch options include:

·         Burger (8oz burger) in a sweet italian roll with Russian Dressing with choice of fries, green salad, pasta salad or potato salad

·         Southwest Chicken Sandwich – griller chicken breast, green chiles, pepperjack cheese and cilantro jalapeno mayonnaise with choice of fries, green salad, pasta salad or potato salad

·         Fish Tacos – Griller Snapper white corn tortillas, pepperjack cheese, topped with jalapeno mayo, cabbage and pico de gallo with choice of fries, green salad, pasta salad or potato salad

·         Cobb Salad – bacon, grilled chicken, bleu cheese, egg , black olive, tomato, and avocado with your choice of dressing.

·         Includes one Non-alcoholic beverage + tax & tip

 

We continue to a quaint town in Placer County to visit the local museum and learn about the Gold Rush and a goldsmith demonstration.  Later we continue to Placerville where we will spend the night.

Our accommodations will be at the “Cary House Historical Hotel” – please call hotel directly at (530) 662-4271.  Rooms range from $109-159 (tax not included) with a 20% discount for our group – mention “Diablo PCA”.  Continental breakfast included   www.caryhouse.com   Discount price only available until May 15^th.   In the evening, we have early reservations at a local restaurant – individual bill/pay as you go.

On Sunday, we drive thru El Dorado National Forest and admire the beauty of the landscape at over 5000 feet high, perhaps catch some falls as we make our way to a rural town for lunch:

Later in the afternoon, we will leave gold country and head down to Sacramento county before heading home

Tour Cost = $46 per person    Includes:  Lunch Sat & Sun (fixed-price menu – entrée/ drink + tax&tip); Museum visit.

Cancellations after May 15th will incur a $20 charge.  Contact hotel for cancellation policy.

Registration will close by Wednesday, June 5th or 40 people limit.
