2012 Tire Rack SCCA Tri-State National Tour
|Registration Closed:||October 24, 2012 11:59 AM CDT|
Known as the concrete beach the National Solo Program returns to Blytheville, AR in 2012.
Joining forces with Evolution Performance Driving Super Shootout Program the SCCA National Solo program will be doing the event a little differently than a traditional National Tour. Each driver will receive 4 runs on Saturday and will effectively be a 1 day National Tour. The following day those that are in the Top 32 PAX for the event will be qualified for the Tournament bracket. Everyone else will receive two more runs as a "Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ)." The Top 32 in PAX from the LCQ will then also be qualified for the Tournament bracket. Those 64 will then battle each other to be the top eliminator.
The competition at a National Tour takes place over two days on two separate courses, like Solo Nationals. The first day, competitors each get three runs or chances to drive one of the courses and on the second day they get three runs on the other course. Like any other Solo competition, runs are timed to 1/1000th of a second and knocking a cone down means a penalty of 2 seconds added to that time. The best times from each course are added together for the final class standings. All classes at National Tours are the same, standard Solo classes that you’ll find at Solo Nationals and as defined by the SCCA in the Solo Rulebook.
Registration Fee $102. After October 24, 2012, 11:59 am CDT all entries must be faxed or scanned to the National office. A non-refundable fee of $138.00 is due for entries received after 8am CDT.
