Let it Snow! Road Rally
The Arctic Alaska Region of the Sports Car Club of America will be sanctioning the second event in the 2012 Winter Road Rally Series on Sunday, March 11th.
Gail Engblom will be the Rallymaster for the Let It Snow! Road Rally and had this to say to all competitors: It will be a scenic tour of Anchorage in the winter with a little game playing thrown in for fun. Be prepared for anything, weatherwise, and bring your sense of humor. Oh, and a camera — digital or smartphone will be just fine!
The starting location for the Let It Snow! Road Rally will be Carr's Jewel Lake near the Starbuck's and Deli, with 1:00P Registration.
You do need to arrive at 1:00P as you will need to take care of final registration matters, your vehicle tech inspection and more! So that you may plan the rest of your day, as this event is sanctioned as a social rally, you should be at the ending restaurant by 4:00PM.
Don't have a dedicated rally partner? No worries—we are encouraging folks to arrive and form teams at the starting location! Register up so folks know you're looking for a rally partner.
Event requirements
REGISTRATION and ENTRY FEES
We encourage all of you planning to enter this event to register here at http://www.motorsportreg.com. One of your team will need to register the vehicle and their position on the team (Driver or Navigator) and the other will need to register their position on the team and personal information only. The entry fee for this afternoon rally is ten dollars for an SCCA member and is fifteen dollars for those needing an SCCA Weekend Membership. Please bring exact cash or check for payment at the event.
Due to the nature of the motorsport known as Road Rally, Rallymasters must have ample copies of the Route Instructions and Checkpoint Slips prepared in advance of the event; there are no copiers along the highway! This is why we need your registration here and we will keep online registration open until 11:59PM on Friday, March 9th.

DRIVERS LICENSES
Drivers must present a valid driver’s license. If under 18-years-of-age, competitors (anyone in the vehicle) will need an SCCA Minor Waiver signed by their parents (or legal guardians) and presented prior to competition. Contact the Region at 243-2122 or 745-2013 (9A-7P) to obtain a form prior to the event if parents are not going to be at the event to sign.
CLASSES and VEHICLE INSPECTION
The SCCA will recognize Expert and Novice Classes for this event.
Each team will be required to complete a Vehicle Inspection prior to the start of competition.
