Team Continental's Driving Instructor Seminar

To provide an adequate corps of qualified instructors, T.C. will once again be presenting this 3 hour training seminar.  This class is also the first step in obtaining or renewing your STAR Certified Instructor qualification.

 

This training is open to experienced race drivers and those that will be earning their senior licenses this year, who would like to participate at the instructor level. Current membership in Team Continental is not a requirement to attend this seminar.

Curriculum  for this seminar may include:

  • Evaluating your student and customizing your teaching strategy.
  • Learning styles and teaching to the various types.
  • Techniques for enhancing the safety of you and your student.
  • Effective communications in stressful environments.
  • Dynamics and challenges of teaching the 3-dimensional track.
  • The Conference licensing procedure, what’s important to produce a successful novice
  • Tools and Rules.

Speaker for this event will include:

·         Bob Mearns, ICSCC License Director (by remote link).

·         Andy Robottom, Team Continental Driving Master.

·         Bill Murray Sr., Regionally Acclaimed B.S.er.

·         Bill Murray Jr., 2-Time World Champion Formula S.A.E. team driver.

·         You! Experienced Instructors, please bring your best instructing tip to share with those that are new to the challenges of teaching                    performance driving.

A $10 (at the door) per person contribution to offset the cost of the room rental is requested.

Attendees are also welcome to tour the air museum following the seminar, your admission cost is included. Let us know you will be attending by registering on www.motorsportsreg.com.

A non-hosted post event lunch gathering is optional and will be held at the North Portland Cultural Center (Hooters, Hayden Island).
