Registration opens September 1^st for the Missouri Valley Chapter’s Pig Trail Rally !!!

 

Join us for a trip to the south and enjoy the fall colors of the wonderful Ozarks. The rally will not only include driving some of the most wonderful roads in the US but we will also be canoeing Beaver Lake and taking a personal tour with mediums in a historic hotel that’s been highlighted on Discover Channel’s Haunted America.

 

The trip will start Thursday morning October 22^nd with a leisurely drive to the Pointe West Resort which will be our head quarters for the rally. The Pointe West is a resort on the beautiful Beaver Lake. We were able to negotiate the terrific rate of $60/night for a king room or one with 2 double beds. (You will need to call the Pointe West directly for the BMW Club rate, 800-352-6616). Do that now because there are only so many rooms.

 

After relaxing over cocktails on the balcony at the Basin Park Hotel Thursday evening we will rest in prep for a whole day canoeing at Beaver Lake. Boating prices will be $50 for 1 or 2 person kayaks, $40 for a canoe, $65 for a 3-5 person raft or $75 for a raft that will hold up to 8 people. For those not in tune to canoeing there are multi person rafts or plenty of exploring to do on land. A BBQ back at the resort will give us the energy to tour the grand Crescent Hotel with mediums who know all of the hidden secrets of this ghostly landmark.

 

Saturday morning will start early as we venture out on our scenic part of the rally. The route will take us from remote scenic byways to some of the most beautify rolling tree lined, rolling hills. Once back to our resort we will freshen up for a night of fine dinning.

 

Sunday it’s back to the Crescent for a wonderful breakfast buffet but only after a enthusiast’s drive on some of the local roads. Once our bellies are full we will head out on a relaxing drive back north towards home.

 

The registration fee will cover all of the appetizers we can consume Thursday evening, the Friday lunch picnic and evening barbeque, the ghost tour, Saturday lunch, our wonderful dinner that evening and the Breakfast buffet Sunday morning at the Crescent Hotel.

 

There will be 2 drawings for door prizes, 2 of which are a free fill-up, one on the trip down and one on our way home. The other door prize will be a 1/2hr for two at the Serenity Day Spa at the Crescent hotel. Who doesn’t like to be pampered?
