Laps to Conquer MS SOLO (2014 Points Event #8)

Pocono Raceway

About this event

On the weekend of August 9 and 10, not only will there be the excellent racing  on the recently revamped road course of Pocono Raceway, but there will also be SOLO events held on the parking lot behind the grandstands both days. The parking lot was repaved last year and is a good SOLO surface.

Northeast PA Region (NEPA) will host the Saturday SOLO and Philly Region will host the Sunday event.

Access to the infield to watch the road racing will only be via the tunnel entrance because we are sharing the facility with another group.  You will be welcome to go inside to watch Philly Region members  such as the Aquilantes and Dave Sanders (among others).  Just show your wristband or your SCCA membership card for free admission to watch the races which are part of the Northeast Division Chmapionship Series and the Mid Atlantic Road Racing Championship Series.

For those of you who want to run both Saturday and Sunday SOLO events, there are many motels in the area and if you are interested in camping, you can do so among the teams and officials in the infield Friday and Saturday nights.

AS an added bonus, there will be lunchtime laps behind the pace car driven by George Bloeser for the benefit of Laps to Conquer MS, the charity supported by this event.
