About this event

The cars, the curves, the community - come be a part of this unforgettable event.

QDM 2010 Parade!

Quattro de Mayo 2011 will be May 5 - 8 in Hiawassee and Young Harris, Georgia.

Quattro de Mayo is a gathering of Audi (and other European car) enthusiasts from across the Southeast. Each year, we spend as many as four days driving some of the curviest roads in the country, and spend the evenings making new friends.
This event began 6 years ago when a group of Audi Club members from Ohio took a trip to East Tennessee to drive a stretch of road named the Tail of the Dragon, which packs 318 curves into 11 miles. But the Ohio crew was not alone that weekend, as a group from Tennessee had also organized a drive and the two groups soon crossed paths. So, they decided to make it an annual event, and dubbed it "Quattro de Mayo". Each year, the event has grown bigger, and the friendships have grown deeper.

This year's location provides easy access to great roads in Tennessee, North Carolina, and Georgia.  Some of our favorite roads include: The Tail of the Dragon, Blue Ridge Parkway, Cherohala Skyway, Foothills Parkway and Richard Russell Scenic Highway.

There are plenty of non-driving related activities and points of interest nearby, such as horseback riding, full service spas, wineries, boating, golf, antique shopping and more.

Event requirements

LOCAL ENTERTAINMENT: This is a family event: young people and those who'd rather walk than drive can do countless things in the area: sight-seeing, karting, tourist venues, music, local art and craft, or you can DRIVE till you can't stand it. All are welcome!

DRIVERS WANTED: We will accomodate various driver levels by asking how you wish to group up for the sorties. The only  skill you need is safe driving. Remember "Rule #1!" You'll hear that a lot at safety briefings and bench racing!
