First run group is at 8am and the New Member Orientation starts at 8am.

GREEN-- This group is usually for those who are spirited enough to push it to their limit. This will be the fastest group we will offer.

RED -- This is a nice quick intermediate group for those who wish to master good form and keep the speed under the very fastest group.

YELLOW -- This is designed for the newcomer to the sport and the more leisure drivers. It is also designed for rookies & novices. "Don’t be fooled, this is plenty fast pace!"

There are over 3,300 photos that he is offering in a set of DVDs for only $50.

Jeff volunteered his time to spend two days standing in the rain taking pictures for you so please support him.  He took photos of the driver’s exercises on Saturday morning, the instructed lapping on Saturday afternoon and the lapping on Sunday. He had access to the entire road course in order to get photos from interesting locations and angles.  Jeff was working the banquet on Saturday night too.

We will be returning to the Museum of Flight’s beautiful Skyline Room.  This is the biggest social event of the Alfa year and we look forward to seeing all of you there. The Silent Auction will open for bidding at 5 pm as well as complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a no-host bar.

You may wish to tour the gallery from 10 am until 6 pm (FREE for party attendees) and then join the fun at the auction tables.

Last but by far most certainly NOT the least, is our now famous Toy Drive!  We always have a fun “decorating party” the night before, getting the cars all decorated and prepared.  The following morning we are off to deliver Christmas Joy and cheer to those who could use it the most!  Definitely this would be heralded as our “Crowning Achievement” of the year.

We promote a safe learning environment and provide Instructors to all Participants.  Your $60.00 entry fee includes unlimited beverages, breakfast snacks, and a lunch for each Participant.  Additional sandwiches may be purchased for $5 in advance at Registration.  As an all-volunteer organization, we ask that you work corners at your scheduled time and stay after the autocross to help us pick up cones.  It's an all-day event allowing you to explore the full potential of your car in a safe and exciting environment, with plenty of time to meet other BMW CCA members.  San Diego thanks Cunningham BMW in El Cajon for their support of our Autocross Program.

Monterey Bay Region Porsche Club of America is holding its annual Christmas Party on Tuesday, December 9, 2008.  No Host Bar begins at 6 pm with Dinner at 7 pm.  Location is the Monterey Peninsula Yacht Club, Municipal Wharf #2, Monterey.  The price per person is $25 with an entree choice of Prime Rib, Salmon or Vegetable Quiche.

We will once again have our gift exchange of a car themed gift of $25 or less in value.  (Gift "stealing" will be limited to 2 "steals").

Pre-registration and payment is required by November 30, 2008.  Due to the facility size, the event is limited to 65 attendees - so register ASAP.

An excellent wine specialist will be serving up a variety of wine throughout the evening.  Appetizers and dessert will also be served.  Bring a friend and come enjoy some good wine, good food and good company!  We will also be accepting donations for our annual Toys for Tots drive.  Registration deadline is Monday, December 8.

There will be two runs per group, with a 30-minute lunch break (the RallyCross Team will be reviewing the course) and then resume with the final two competition runs of the day. You do not need to own a Lotus to attend this event.    Price is $245 for non-GGLC members and $225 for members.  You can purchase a yearly membership for $25.  There is also an Early Bird discount of $10 if you register by November 25.

This event will be limited to a total of 3 groups of 25 cars.  Two of these groups  will be with open passing.  One group will be with restricted passing.  The groups will be classified as follows: 

INTERMEDIATE GROUP

     You must have at least 5 previous track days experience.  Passing without a point-by will be limited to the 3 long straights.   Passing in other sections (including turns) is allowed with a point-by from the driver being passed.

ADVANCED GROUP A

     You must have a minimum of 20 track days experience.  Passing without a point-by will be allowed everywhere except through the corkscrew. Group A will be for experienced drivers with smaller displacement engines.

ADVANCED GROUP B

     You must have a minimum of 20 track days experience.  Passing without a point-by will be allowed everywhere except through the corkscrew. Group B will be for experienced drivers with larger displacement engines

 Laguna Seca enforces a strict sound limit of 92 db.  

This event will run rain or shine.  There will be no money back cancellations.  If you need to cancel and we can fill your spot, then we will offer you a rain check for a future event.

We will not conduct a tech inspection on your car.   You are soley responsible for the safety of your car.

Open top cars must have a roll bar. Factory installed roll bars are OK. Open wheeled cars will be allowed in the Advanced group

There will be no formal instruction offered at this event.  You are always encouraged to ask more experienced drivers for help, advice, ride-a-longs, etc.
