SUMMARY:Tire Rack Street Survival - Boston Chapter BMW CCA @ New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS)
DESCRIPTION:&#160\;&#160\;&#160\;&#160\;
 \n
 \n    Saturday\, May 19th\, 8:00AM-5:00PM
 \n
 \n The primary emphasis of the Tire Rack Street Survival&#174\; is a "hands-on" driving experience in real-world situations! We use your own car to teach you about its handling limits and how you can control them. The students will become more observant of the traffic situation they find themselves in. They will learn to look far enough ahead to anticipate unwise actions of other drivers. As the students master the application of physics to drive their cars\, they will make fewer unwise driving actions themselves. They will understand why they should always wear their own seatbelts\, and why they should insist that their passengers wear seatbelts\, too.
 \n
 \n It\'s about more than driving - it\'s about LIVING!
 \n
 \n    All Schools $75.

 \n Imagine knowing what to do when your car begins to slide\, or being in control during that panic stop. Even if you think you know what you are doing\, come out and explore the limits of you and your car in a controlled setting. Car control skills are learned techniques that are fundamental to performance driving\, and can enhance your ability to be a safer driver in normal everyday situations.

 \n Our Clinics are open to all club members wanting to learn more about enhancing their driver skills and understanding the capabilities of their cars. If you have been thinking about or planning to attend a track school\, clinics are a prerequisite for first time track school students. We explore the many situations of vehicle dynamics in a controlled environment\, with you in the driver&#8217\;s seat. The program is structured for people without any formal performance driving experience. Our goal is to prepare you with a fundamental foundation of skills from which you can further develop your driving abilities. Each participant receives personalized instruction provided by experienced club Instructors. The level of instruction is tailored to fit the need of each individual student.

DESCRIPTION:&#160\;&#160\;&#160\;&#160\;
 \n
 \n    Saturday\, May 19th\, 8:30AM-4:30PM

SUMMARY:PCA - Allegheny @ Pittsburgh International Race Compl
DESCRIPTION:
 \nCome learn more about you and your car!
 \n
 \n&nbsp\;The Allegheny Region of the Porsche Club of America will host our 2012 Car Control Clinic at Pittsburgh International Race Complex (PittRace - formerly known as BeaveRun) on Saturday May 26.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;
 \n
 \nThis is a PERFECT opportunity to learn more about you and your car in a very safe environment.&nbsp\; We will be using the Vehicle Dynamic Area (VDA)&nbsp\;to provide a complete educational experience!&nbsp\; The Car Control Clinic is&nbsp\;hands-on\, in-car training that consists of a classroom discussion of vehicle dynamics and human dynamics followed by four hours of in-car instruction in accident avoidance and defensive driving maneuvers.
 \n
 \nThe Clinic can teach students what typical driving schools can&#39\;t: what do do when something goes wrong in the car - and provide the opportunity to practice these maneuvers in a safe environment.
 \n
 \nDrivers will use the VDA to learn and practice three key skills:
 \n
 \n
 \nSmooth steering on a Slalom course - Understand how to navigate your car smoothly through a set of cones.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;Recognize where you want your car to go.&nbsp\; You will learn how to drive where the cones aren&#39\;t!
 \n
 \nThreshold Braking - Learn how to control your car in an emergency breaking situation.&nbsp\; You will understand more about your car&#39\;s capabilities and how to manage them.&nbsp\; Learn how to successfully maneuver around obstacles (just as if you have a deer in the headlights) while slowing your car.
 \n
 \nSkid-Pad Activities - Drive on a skid pad where you will have the opportunity to experience your car breaking traction and then learn how to regain traction in a safe environment.&nbsp\; Feel the balance and learn how to steer your car with the throttle.
 \n
 \n
 \nCome make a weekend of the event - We&#39\;re hosting an Autocross on Sunday.&nbsp\; Come and apply what you&#39\;ve learned!

 \n    May 26 is our 2012 Women\'s Day!
 \n
 \n Women\'s Day is an annual tradition for Driver Skills and we hope you\'ll join us in May for our 2012 event!&#160\;&#160\;This event is intended for&#160\;women only.&#160\; Please do not register if you\'re male.&#160\; However\, if the event does not fill by May 11\, a limited number of spots will be opened for men.&#160\; In this case\, we will form two women-only run groups to stay true to the spirit of Women\'s Day and have one mixed gender run group.&#160\; If you\'re male and wish to be placed on the waitlist for this eventuality\, contact driverskills@pnwr.org.

 \n    Driver Skills Overview:
 \n
 \n Driver Skills&#160\;is a one-day clinic on the fundamentals of performance driving hosted by the Pacific Northwest Region of the Porsche Club of America.&#160\; Appropriate for novices and experienced drivers alike\, Driver Skills will make you a safer\, more competent driver.&#160\; Working 1:1 with our instructors\, students rotate in small groups through the following educational segments:
 \n
 \n
 \n      Ground school (classroom).
 \n
 \n      Slalom.
 \n
 \n      Wet skidpad.
 \n
 \n Threshold braking and accident avoidance.
 \n
 \n      Advanced slalom.
 \n
 \n      Handling oval.
 \n
 \n      Autocross.
 \n
 \n
 \n    None of the segments involve timing or competition.&#160\; Instead\, you work 1:1 with our instructors at a pace appropriate for your experience and comfort level.&#160\; Together\, the segments improve your ability to look ahead\, place the car precisely\, control weight transfer\, steer with the throttle\, and brake effectively.&#160\; Run groups are small\, which means that wait time between runs is minimal.&#160\; At the end of the primary sessions\, students are encouraged to apply the lessons of the day&#160\;in an optional segment on&#160\;a large maneuvering course.&#160\;
 \n
 \n The Driver Skills participation fee is $75\, including a hot lunch.&#160\;&#160\;Limited helmet rentals are available for $30\, with the&#160\;fee waived for those participants under 21 years of age.&#160\; Continue to the next page for more information...

DESCRIPTION:&#160\;&#160\;&#160\;
 \n
 \n    Saturday\, June 2nd\, 8:00AM-4:00PM

 \n
 \n
 \n    None of the segments involve timing or competition.&#160\; Instead\, you work 1:1 with our instructors at a pace appropriate for your experience and comfort level.&#160\; Together\, the segments improve your ability to look ahead\, place the car precisely\, control weight transfer\, steer with the throttle\, and brake effectively.&#160\; Run groups are small\, which means that wait time between runs is minimal.&#160\; At the end of the primary sessions\, students are encouraged to apply the lessons of the day&#160\;in an optional segment on&#160\;a large maneuvering course.&#160\;
 \n
 \n The Driver Skills participation fee is $75\, including a hot lunch.&#160\;&#160\;Limited helmet rentals are available for $30\, with the&#160\;fee waived for those participants under 21 years of age.&#160\; Continue to the next page for more information...

 \n    Ever been concerned if regular driver\'s education courses are enough to keep you or your teenager safer on the roads?&#160\; Doesn\'t it make sense to give teenagers the "hands-on" opportunity&#160\;for how to handle a car?&#160\; How fast can you stop?&#160\; How does rain effect driving dynamics?&#160\;

SUMMARY:Tire Rack Street Survival - Chattanooga Region SCCA @ Eastgate Town Center
DESCRIPTION:&#160\;&#160\;&#160\;&#160\;
 \n
 \n    Saturday\, June 23rd\, 8:30AM-5:30PM

 \n
 \n
 \n
 \n
 \n    None of the segments involve timing or competition.&#160\; Instead\, you work 1:1 with our instructors at a pace appropriate for your experience and comfort level.&#160\; Together\, the segments improve your ability to look ahead\, place the car precisely\, control weight transfer\, steer with the throttle\, and brake effectively.&#160\; Run groups are small\, which means that wait time between runs is minimal.&#160\; At the end of the primary sessions\, students are encouraged to apply the lessons of the day&#160\;in an optional segment on&#160\;a large maneuvering course.&#160\;
 \n
 \n The Driver Skills participation fee is $75\, including a hot lunch.&#160\;&#160\;Limited helmet rentals are available for $30\, with the&#160\;fee waived for those participants under 21 years of age.&#160\; Continue to the next page for more information...

DESCRIPTION:&#160\;
 \n
 \n
 \n
 \n    Ever been concerned if regular driver\'s education courses are enough to keep you or your teenager safer on the roads?&#160\; Doesn\'t it make sense to give teenagers the "hands-on" opportunity&#160\;for how to handle a car?&#160\; How fast can you stop?&#160\; How does rain effect driving dynamics?&#160\;
 \n
 \n
 \n Well\, you\'ve come to the right place.&#160\; Let our volunteer staff of highly trained driving instructors teach&#160\;your teenage driver how to handle a car.&#160\; From slalom and wet skid pad exercises to braking and accident avoidance\, we will&#160\;teach the driver more in one day than they\'ve learned the entire time in Drivers Ed.

 \n
 \n
 \n    Ever been concerned if regular driver\'s education courses are enough to keep you or your teenager safer on the roads?&#160\; Doesn\'t it make sense to give teenagers the "hands-on" opportunity&#160\;for how to handle a car?&#160\; How fast can you stop?&#160\; How does rain effect driving dynamics?&#160\;
 \n

DESCRIPTION:&#160\;&#160\;&#160\;&#160\;
 \n
 \n    Saturday\, September 29th\, 7:00AM-4:00PM

SUMMARY:PCA - Pacific Northwest Region @ Bremerton Motorsports Park
DESCRIPTION:
 \n
 \n
 \n
 \n
 \n
 \n    None of the segments involve timing or competition.&#160\; Instead\, you work 1:1 with our instructors at a pace appropriate for your experience and comfort level.&#160\; Together\, the segments improve your ability to look ahead\, place the car precisely\, control weight transfer\, steer with the throttle\, and brake effectively.&#160\; Run groups are small\, which means that wait time between runs is minimal.&#160\; At the end of the primary sessions\, students are encouraged to apply the lessons of the day&#160\;in an optional segment on&#160\;a large maneuvering course.&#160\;
 \n
 \n The Driver Skills participation fee is $75\, including a hot lunch.&#160\;&#160\;Limited helmet rentals are available for $30\, with the&#160\;fee waived for those participants under 21 years of age.&#160\; Continue to the next page for more information...

SUMMARY:Tire Rack Street Survival - Fort Wayne Region SCCA @ Northtowne Mall Shopping Center
DESCRIPTION:&#160\;&#160\;&#160\;&#160\;
 \n
 \n    Saturday\, August 20th\, 8:30AM-4:30PM
