Join us for this all day track event of HPDI (High Performance Driving Instruction) at the SCCA track at Willows California.
This track was designed and built by the members of the San Francisco SCCA. It's a wonderful track with great facilities.
Due to popular demand and after a vote of previous participants we have chosen to run the NEW expanded 5 mile circuit.
We will be running beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Race Prep/Coaches. Coaches MUST sign up as coaches and be approved by Eric Diamond or Norman Nelson.
The cost is $275 per single driver/single Mini entrant.
For Shared Entries: If you are registering as primary driver with a co-driver, the 1st driver must register using the Shared Mini option and pay the total amount of $400.00, the 2nd or co-driver must also register using the Co-Driver option as a Co-driver at zero cost.. Price includes loads of track time, turn workers, tow-trucks, flaggers, instructors, lunch, & T-shirts.
T-Shirts will be available in sizes small, medium, large, XL, and 2XL, larger shirts (3XL, 4XL, etc) must be purchased in advanced and will be at $20 ea.
This event is for MINI/Mini Coopers only, any model, year, or variation. You will see other makes and models entered. These cars are coaches and will be running in the coaches/race-prep group, NOT with Beg, Int., or Adv.
Spectators are welcome to come out free of charge and see what it is all about.
Event requirements
Participants must be 18 years old, have a valid driver’s license and proof of current insurance. Guests must be 18 years old to take free rides (Parade Laps) @ Lunch. You must fill out the on-line registration form & vehicle technical check list,
You will need a SA 2010 or newer rated helmet. That is “A” for automotive and not “M” for motorcycle. Thunderhill has approximately 60 rental helmets available at the track @ $35/day. Be sure to get to the track early to get your helmet. If you decide to purchase a helmet we suggest that you purchase a SA 2010 or newer.
This event is open to all MINI/Minis of all types and models. You may notice other cars entered. These are coashes and instructors cars.
In order to streamline the pre-registration process and the dinner line, we have included Saturday nights dinner on the registration package. The cost is $18.00 per person for dinner. Thunderhill Raceway will also be providing a no-host beverage service on Saturday night and Sunday's breakfast directly by Thunderhill Grill and NOT MINI Thunder VI. Thunderhill Grill is handling the money associated with those.
There is an ATM at Thunderhill.
