Welcome to the 2015 season rounds 4&5, a combined Performance Driving eXperience / Club Trial / Track Trial Event on the Thunderhill 2 Mile West Road Course.
NEW - - - "Track Time for Volunteering" Come and drive one day for $100 and work a corner the opposing day. This opportunity will be offered to eight drivers Saturday and eight drivers Sunday on a first come first served bassis and applies to PDX only. For people unfamiliar with flagging and communications we will hold familiarization training before the start of the event on Saturday morning. For people new to the sport, this is an opportunity to gain knowledge and get comfortable with track events without having to spend a lot of money----and still experience the thrill of driving on track! For new or experienced track junkies this might be an opportunity for two people to share a car and get a day of inexpensive track time AND help out the club and the drivers by working a corner.
Performance Driving eXperience (PDX) is non-timed lapping in your car, with an emphasis on learning. Instruction will be both classroom and in-car. No previous experience required. Most street legal automobiles and some classes of race prepared cars are allowed. Open top automobiles must have removable factory hardtop installed, factory rollover protection or an SCCA Time Trials approved rollbar.
Club Trial is a timed competition for fastest lap, open to almost all street-licensed cars and those prepared to Solo Street Prepared or Street Mod or Race prepared to Improved Touring specifications. Open top automobiles must have removable factory hardtop installed, factory rollover protection or an SCCA Time Trials approved rollbar.
Track Trial is a timed competition for fastest lap, open to all cars prepared to Time Trials Level 3 or full race preparation. Full safety gear required including fire suit and race spec helmet are required however Head & Neck restraint is highly recommended but not required.
All groups will have four 20 minute sessions each day.
Approved helmets required, limited no-charge loaners are available.
SCCA membership required; weekend memberships available on site for $15.

PDX / Club Trial /Track Trial (one day). $200 Early Reg / $225 After Cut-Off
PDX / Club Trial / Track Trial (two days). $300 Early Reg / $350 After Cut-Off
Dual Entry (same car and driver, two grps), Add $75
PDX Drive / Work Option - must register before September 15, 2015 to qualify (8 entries maximun each day). $100
Transponder Rental. $25

Mandatory Drivers/Volunteer Meeting 8:15 a.m.
Track Familiarization Tour beginning at 8:30 a.m
Flagging & Communications Training Sat at 8:00 a.m .
Lunch Break at 12:30 p.m.
Thunderhill Raceway Park is located seven miles west of Willows, CA at 5250 Hwy 162, Willows CA 95988
Overnight camping in the paddock will be allowed Friday & Saturday night. Electrical hookup on East side of paddock only. The paddock must be cleared by 6:00 p.m. Sunday evening.

Speed Limit: Do not exceed 5 mph (walking speed) in the paddock.
Sound Levels: 103dbA sound limit is in effect at all Thunderhill events between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5 p.m. Sound levels before 9:00 am and after 5:00 pm must not exceed 95 dbA. No race engines at Thunderhill may be started before 7:30 a.m. nor operate after 6:00 p.m.
Notice: Timing is not allowed in SCCA PDX events. Transponders are required for all Club or Track Trials competitors wishing to have timed results or to compete for region championship points.
