SATURDAY February 28 and SUNDAY March 1, 2015

We are heading for Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch in Pahrump, NV. and will be driving their all new state of the art Hunt 3 mile Course. Pahrump is just a short hop, hop a skip and a jump from So Cal and not much further than to Buttonwillow, and if you have a hankering Las Vegas is less than an hour away.

This event will feature both a Grand Prix Region Driver's Education (DE) and a San Diego Region Time Trial (TT), with separate run groups for each event and different entrant requirements (DE has minimal driving prerequisites and the TT does). There is separate registration for the Time Trial available at http://msreg.com/SMMR15

The DE Run Group  is for drivers of all levels and has no official timing, though in-car timers are currently permitted except for novices.  Qualified DE drivers may also optionally participate in Timed Runs at the end of the event.

As there is only one DE Run Group sharing a car within this run group is not possible. However, if two drivers wish to share a car, one may sign up for the DE and the if the other is eligible for the Time Trial they may sign up for that event at the link above.

The Fees for both the DE and TT  for 2 Days is  $270.00 1 Day is $195.00 REGISTRATION AFTER FEBRUARY 13, 2015 is an additonal $50.00

Beginning Drivers are Eligible for the Driver's Education (DE) SUBJECT TO INSTRUCTOR AVAILABILITY  If you are interested and are a student, please sign up as as soon as possible and send a note to the registrar - if we do not have an Instructor we will let you know and you will not be charged. Novies must attend a ground school. This is mandatory.

Please be sure to update your driving experience here on Motorsportreg.com (MSR) by signing in and going to My Account and then Other Driving Experience at the bottom of the page which also has Edit Driving Exp. Add any recent events or pertinent information.

Zone 8 Car Classification is necessary for the DE and TT.  Please go to Zone8.org  for  the Car Classification http://zone8.pca.org/CarClass/Default.aspx   for eligibility or questions contact Dave Hockett at davndirc@yahoo.com or suesan@pobox.com

Pre-tech is Strongly Encouraged!  Please try to take your car in for service and have it thoroughly inspected prior to this event.  With two full days of our high track time event in the Nevada desert, you will want to be safe and have your car make it through the weekend.  Plus you'll want to be certain that, before you leave for the track, you and your car have any required safety equipment (Stock and Street Stock coupes generally need no additional safety equipment, All entrants pre-teching must present a current Tech Inspection Form with name, address, phone, car, class, etc. to a qualified tech inspection shop. Please check the rules at the Zone 8 link above if you have questions regarding safety equipment you may require.
