Pitt Race Full Track PDE Instructor Appreciation

Pittsburgh International Race Compl

About this event

This Event is for Approved Pitt Race Instructors Only.

Group 1 and Group 2 students please see the separate registration link for the North Track only event.

Instructors! In order to show our appreciation for your service this season we have set aside this afternoon just for you. We will run Full Track from 1:30 pm until 5:00 pm. We will possibly create 2 run groups depending on car type and registration volume. Instructors must be in good standing with Pitt Race. You may use credits from previous PDE's or pay via credit card. As a reminder, we are running a traditional Group 1 and Group 2 morning PDE so we certainly need instructors to help that morning. Plus, your credits from that event can be used on the same afternoon, so please consider helping us out in the morning.

Protocols:

  • Participants may enter the property at 7:00 a.m.
  • Please park in the North Track Paddock or the area near the North Track garage. Do not park in any designated electrical spot as we will have a group moving in later that afternoon with participants who may have purchased the spot.
  • Registration for the afternoon begins at 12 noon, followed by a mandatory driver’s meeting at 1 p.m. If you arrive after the drivers meeting you must see the lead instructor before you will be given access to the track.
  • No race engines may be started before 8:00 a.m. or after 8:00 p.m.
  • Sessions should begin at 1:30 p.m. and run until 5:00 p.m. We need to set hay bales for the next days motorcycle event.
  • You will be required to sign the Pitt Race waiver upon arrival at the track gate. Driver check-in is typically at the Pitt Stop Pro Shop.

Vehicle Requirements:

  • To ensure your safety and that of the other participants, a Self Tech Form must be completed for every car on track. The form must be surrendered to event personnel before being released onto the track.  Forms are collected on the false grid (this will be explained in class and/or at driver’s meeting). A link to this form will be provided upon confirmation of registration.

Portions of the roll bar subject to contact by the drivers’ helmet must be padded with a non-resilient material with a minimum thickness of one-half inch. Arm restraints are recommended.
