PCA - Potomac's PorscheFest Autocross Event #3
This event is a low to medium speed auto driving event run on the Jefferson Circuit at Summit Point Motorsports Park
One driver at a time negotiates a course laid out with the cones, or pylons, testing their skill against the clock. Time penalties are charged for disturbing cones, and the penalty is 2 seconds per cone. A driver is awarded the best time of all runs taken.
Autocross is an inexpensive, safe way to experience performance driving. It helps you discover your car's capabilities and limitations, making you a better, safer driver on the road. And it develops your own driving ability. Many would-be race drivers use it as a jump point into the sport of road racing. But probably the greatest thrill of Autocross is the challenge of beating your own time. It's fun!

Registration fee includes breakfast and lunch, as well as a single entry into the Event Raffle Pool. Each event will have several raffle items awarded by random drawing at the end of the day, as well as several other prizes! You must be present at the drawing to win.
Cost is $50 for PCA members, $20 for DE drivers (for 4 runs) and $60 for non-PCA participants.
All fees are paid in advance and are non-refundable.
Pre-Registration for non-PCA drivers will open on July 9, 2017.
Registration will close at noon on the Wednesday before the event or when the event reaches 60 autocross-only drivers/40 DE autocross drivers, whichever comes first.

You will be required to sign a waiver at the event site.
Helmets: We require any helmet with a Snell 2015 or 2010 SA (Special Applications) sticker. A helmet of the same years with an M (Motorcycle) sticker also is acceptable. The helmet can be full face, open face, or open with a chin guard. The helmet is supposed to be rated for multiple impacts and also should have a fireproof liner.
Pay special attention to fit. The helmet should not be so tight that it brings on headache, but it should not rattle either. Put it on and shake your head. Your skin should travel with the helmet. The idea is that your head does not get a running start before hitting the padding.
We do provide a limited number of FREE LOANER HELMETS supplied by OG Racing for those who haven't committed to purchasing a helmet of their own. OG Racing also has a helmet rental program where the rental cost can later be applied towards the purchase of a helmet.
Tech Inspection: Tech Inspections at autocross events will be conducted on-site during the morning of each event. Autocross Tech Inspections will be checking the basic safety condition of your car: that tires are not excessively worn, that there is no evidence of leaking fluids, that brakes are operating properly, etc. DE Tech inspection suffices for DE drivers at Porschefest autocross.
