This event is for an open track day at PMP

 

A minimum of 15 full day sign ups must be met or the day will be held as a half day . There must be 10 half day sign ups for the event to held as a half day . 

All sign ups must be done through this site. waiting to sign up at the gate puts the event at risk for cancelation. Cash only at the gate .

  Lapping time  will be determined  after registration is closed and based on experience/ car type  as well as skill  level of drivers .

Event requirements

All registrations for Lapping days/ test and tune are handled through www.motorsportreg.com Pueblo Motorsports Park Lapping Days Information Every Car / Motorcylce is welcome on your appropriate day at our Open Lapping Days. Virtually any type of car/ motorcycle is allowed and no previous race track experience is necessary. There are NO SPEED LIMITS and NO SPEEDING TICKETS! It’s a fun way to challenge yourself, improve your skills and have a great time in a controlled and safe environment! Facility Safety ï‚· All open lapping days will have corner workers and Ambulance Qualifications ï‚· All participants with no previous track time during PMP Open Lapping Days are REQUIRED to attend the Drivers/Riders Meeting before they will be allowed on the track. There are NO EXCEPTIONS. ï‚· All participants who have not attended an Open Lapping Day within the last 60 days are REQUIRED to attend the Drivers/Riders Meeting before they will be allowed on the track. There are NO EXCEPTIONS. ï‚· If you fall into one of the above categories it is strongly recommended that you check in with a front gate attendant ï‚· The information meeting is held at least once at every Open Lapping Day. Please see the “schedule” section of this document to determine when the Information Meeting(s) is held. Once you have been through the meeting it is not required every time you come to the track (unless it has been more than 60 days) but it is STRONGLY recommended. It is your responsibility to make sure you are up to date with any changes to policies that may have occurred since you last attended a meeting. ï‚· Drivers must be 18 years of age or older. Exceptions MAY be made if a driver has a valid competition license and is entered in an upcoming PMP event sanctioned by the club for which the minor holds a competition license. Please contact track management directly to discuss such exceptions. ï‚· Drivers 16-17 who do not hold a valid competition license are allowed, provided they are accompanied AT ALL TIMES on the track by a PMP approved instructor. ï‚· At the sole discretion of PMP management, ANY drivers/riders involved in contact between vehicles are subject to disciplinary action up to and including permanent expulsion from the facility. ï‚· At the sole discretion of PMP management, ANY drivers/riders who exhibit overly aggressive or otherwise unsafe behavior will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including permanent expulsion from the facility. Schedule Year Round ï‚· Sign ups are required. Please sign up at Motorsportregs.com ï‚· Car Open Lapping requires 15 cars ï‚· Motorcycle Open Lapping requires 20 ï‚· CALL THE TRACK HOTLINE AT 719-584-RACE TO CHECK IF THE LAPPING DAY HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER OR LACK OF SIGNUPS. Please use the hotline and do not contact track personnel to inquire about the status of a lapping day. Please do not call to inquire about how many people are signed up, we do not give out the number. ï‚· If less than required amount of people have registered via the online signup by 12:00 NOON the FRIDAY before the Saturday Lapping Day, the Lapping Day will be canceled due to lack of signups. ï‚· If less than the required amount of people have registered vie the online signup by 12 NOON the Saturday before the Sunday Lapping Day, the event will be cancelled. ï‚· If less than the required amount of people have registered via the online signup by 12 NOON Thursday before the Friday Lapping Day , the Lapping Day will be cancelled due to lack of sign ups. ï‚· If the Lapping Day is canceled due to lack of signups everyone who registered will receive a 100% credit towards a future Lapping Day. This credit will be visible when you get to the payment page in the MotorsportReg registration system. ï‚· The recorded message will be updated periodically during the week. A final determination with regards to signups for Any open lapping will be recorded just after 12:00 noon on the day before. A final determination with regards to weather will be made as the weather dictates, but no later than 8:00 am the day of. Summer Days (Approximately April 1 – October 31) ï‚· Summer CAR Lapping Days will not be canceled due to rain. The track may be shut down for brief periods if it is raining hard enough to effect vision, otherwise we DO lap on a wet track. ï‚· Motorcycle lapping days may be cancelled due to rain . Weather report will be considered before a decision is made ï‚· Lapping days, particularly motorcycle days, on the fringes of the summer season (April and October) MAY be canceled due to expected snow or very low temps. If a summer day is cancelled due to weather, the PMP hotline (719-584-RACE) will be updated with specific information about that date no later than 7:00 am the day of the event. If the PMP hotline does not specifically say that the date is canceled, it is on. ï‚· Gates will be open no later than one hour before scheduled start time ï‚· Drivers/Riders Meeting will be held 20 minutes prior to start time . A second Drivers/Riders Meeting will be held 20 minutes before the afternoon session if needed. ï‚· Friday track days will be held from 9 am until 3 pm .Unless otherwise stated ï‚· Weekend Track days will be hot from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm, with a lunch break from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm. ï‚· Sessions will be determined on an “as needed” basis. We try to limit sessions as much as possible to insure the participants get the maximum amount of track time. Most often we will simply do groups of “slow” and “fast” in 30 minute sessions, but will break groups down further if safety concerns dictate. Winter (Approximately November 1 – March 31) ï‚· Gates will open no later than 1 hour before scheduled start time ï‚· Drivers/Riders Meeting will be held 20 minutes prior to start time ï‚· Track will be hot from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm with no lunch break. ï‚· Sessions will be determined on an “as needed” basis. We try to limit sessions as much as possible to insure the participants get the maximum amount of track time. Most often we will simply do groups of “slow” and “fast” in 30 minute sessions, but will break groups down further if safety concerns dictate. Prices ï‚· All prices are PER DRIVER, not per vehicle, even if multiple drivers are sharing a single vehicle. Summer ï‚· For participants who register and pay prior to the day of the event via online signup the cost is $150 for a full day and $100 for a half day. ï‚· For participants who do not register and pay in advance the cost is $170 for a full day and $120 for a half day, payable at the track. ï‚· Half day is either from 8:00am until 12:00, or 1:00 until 5:00. Winter ï‚· For participants who register and pay prior to the day of the event via online signup the cost is $100 for the day. ï‚· For participants who do not register and pay in advance the cost is $120 for the day, payable at the track. ï‚· No half day during winter hours. Technical Requirements ï‚· Anyone who enters the racing surface as a driver or passenger must wear a helmet. Helmets must be designed for car or motorcycle use, no other standards are required to be met – it’s your head, it’s up to you to decide which helmet is best to protect it. ï‚· While there will be no formal tech inspection required, PMP management reserves the right to inspect any vehicle and require correction of issues of concern. ï‚· All vehicles must be in good general operating condition with acceptable tire tread depth and brake lining thickness. ï‚· Vehicles must be free of fluid leaks and all body work and other accessories must be securely attached. Battery must be securely tied down. ï‚· Please insure that your vehicle is prepared for the additional stresses of track duty. Vehicles that have to be towed from the racing surface due to mechanical issues more than two times on the same day may not be allowed back out on to the track. Cars ï‚· Open face helmets are acceptable. ï‚· No karts of any kind are allowed. ï‚· All loose items must be removed from the passenger compartment and trunk. ï‚· 3 point OEM seatbelts minimum required. ï‚· Convertibles MUST have occupant rollover protection installed immediately behind the driver’s seat. o Windshield only rollover protection is not sufficient. o Bolt on or retractable hardtop roofs are not sufficient. o T-Top or Targa tops are OK as long as there is a permanent B pillar and only the middle section of the roof is removable. o OEM rollover protection is acceptable only if installed immediately behind the driver’s seat. o OEM “pop up” rollover protection is acceptable only if installed immediately behind the driver’s seat. o Permanent aftermarket rollover protection is acceptable subject to PMP management approval. o Aftermarket “pop up” rollover protection is not acceptable under any circumstances. o Rollover protection, whether “pop-up” or permanent, installed behind rear passenger seats is not acceptable under any circumstances. o Common convertibles with acceptable factory rollover protection:  Honda S2000  Porsche Boxter  Others are allowed, email ( rcscmotorsports.com ) with specifics to confirm o Common convertibles that DO NOT have acceptable factory rollover protection and must have aftermarket protection added:  ALL Mazda Miata/MX5 (the ’06 and newer have “style bars” that are not designed to provide rollover protection per the manufacturer)  Porsche 911 series (although they have pop-up protection, these are 4 passenger cars despite how small the rear seats are)  Chevrolet Corvette  Chevrolet Camaro  Ford Mustang  This list is not exhaustive, email ( rcscmotorsport.com) with specifics to confirm ï‚· Passengers are allowed, subject to restriction at the discretion of track management. There is no charge for passengers. Passengers must be at least 18 years of age. Drivers who display multiple spins or other indications of driving “over their head” may lose their ability to have passengers in the vehicle. ï‚· Pickup trucks or other vehicles with higher GVW’s and/or high center of gravity are not allowed unless the suspension, wheels, tires and brakes have been upgraded to safely withstand the rigors of track use. The approval of such vehicles will be made on a case by case basis. ï‚· Please insure that the front of your car has a readily accessible tow point. If your car has a threaded tow hook in the tool kit please install it in the front bumper prior to entering the track. ï‚· While we obviously try to be as careful as possible, PMP is not responsible for any damage that may occur in the event that your vehicle has to be towed from the racing surface. Motorcycles ï‚· Water cooled motorcycles may use only the following coolants: o Water o Water and Redline Water Wetter o Water and Royal Purple Ice o Water and Motul Mo Cool o Water and ethyl alcohol ï‚· Motorcycles must have rear view mirrors either removed or covered with tape. PMP recognized instructors are exempted from this requirement. ï‚· Full face helmets are required. Hinged full face helmets are not allowed. ï‚· Motorcycle riders must wear full leathers. o 1 piece suits are strongly recommended. o 2 piece suits must zip all the way around (360 degrees) at the waist. o Textile suits or suits with anything other than leather in all impact areas are not allowed. ï‚· Leather boots that cover the ankle and leather gloves that cover the wrist are required. ï‚· Passengers are NOT allowed on ANY motorcycle. ï‚· Back protectors are strongly recommended. Spectators/Photographers ï‚· Spectators are welcome at Open Lapping Days; there is no charge to spectate.( do you want ot charge for spectators ) ï‚· Spectators are restricted to the paddock, along the entry road behind the track barriers, or other track property areas specifically designated and marked as being available to spectators. Any areas marked “authorized personnel only” are NOT open to spectators. ï‚· No one under eighteen years of age is allowed into the hot pit area ï‚· Pets are not allowed into the hot pit area ï‚· Photographers are subject to the same restrictions as spectators. Only PMP employees are allowed outside of the pit area/ paddock on Open Lapping Days. ï‚· Radio controlled helicopters, airplanes and any other devices that intentionally leave the ground may not be operated on or over PMP property.
