NASA at Summit Point Motorsports Park
This autocross will take place on the 2.0 mile main circuit, in the carousel - click here for an example of the course area. Drivers should expect 3-4 runs each, but hopefully more. It will be one big heat (or two smaller heats) with no work assignments, just nonstop runs! There will also be a bonus session (either more runs or touring laps, TBA) later in the afternoon. Tentative schedule is:
10:00am - Registration & Tech Open
10:45am - Drivers Meeting
11:30am - Timed Runs Begin
1:30pm - Timed Runs End
3:00pm - Bonus Session
3:30pm - Off Track
Everyone on site will need to sign the waiver and get a wristband immediately. This is a closed gate / private event, although drivers may invite guests.
All drivers must be at least 18 years of age with a valid drivers license and must wear helmets (Snell SA1995/M1995 or newer, in good condition.)
All registered cars need to pass our safety tech as per this form https://www.nasaproracing.com/rules/nasa-x_tech.pdf .
IMPORTANT NOTE - We are not using NASA car classing for this event. When you register please simply list one of these three abbreviations in the "transponder number" or "sponsor" or "additional comments" box:
"FI" for Forced Induction 86/BRZ Class
"NA" for Naturally Aspirated 86/BRZ Class
"O" for Other Car Class (non 86/BRZ)
[Your registration is not complete until one of these three 86EXPO autocross class choices is in there somewhere.]
Please list three car number choices when you register (i.e. 7, 17, 71.) We can't have duplicate car numbers even in different heats because it can mess up our timing & scoring. We will publish an entry list with confirmed car numbers later. Car numbers need to be big and visible on event day, no shoe polish numbers please. Painters tape on windows or bodywork is ok.
Please click on the following link and refer to the "Resources" section for all further info (event rules, car classing, tech inspection, weather policy, novice information, loaner helmets, work/run assignments, and much more): http://www.nasaracing.net/autox.htm .
This is a special event so refunds or credits will not be available from NASA. Please understand this before you register, and only sign up if you will definitely attend. For more info about this event please contact Bill Edwards, email@example.com
