Mullin Museum and Palms Restaurant Dinner Tour
October 25, 2014
Due to a lack of registrations this event has been Canceled and may be rescheduled on another date.
We begin our tour to a quiet industrial complex, tucked away in Oxnard, where tribute is given to fine art on four wheels, the Mullin Automotive Museum. This museum is designed in the style of the Paris Auto Salon of the 1930s. The beautiful structure was previously owned by Otis Chandler, owner of the Los Angeles Times and subsequently sold to Peter Mullin who renovated the building for his car collection.
You will be overwhelmed by the most elegantly beautiful collection of French touring automobiles such as Bugatti, Avions Voisin, Delahaye, Hispano-Suiza, Talbot-Lago. The featured automobile, during our visit, is the Bugatti collection where you will have the sheer pleasure of viewing the most beautiful and the most expensive car in the world, the 1936 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic. Reservation time at the museum: 1:00 pm.
Tickets for the museum must be purchased by October 10th: $15 adults, $10 seniors, children (3-11) $8, military (with ID) and Infants are Free. If you decide to come after the cutoff date contact Lori DeCristo to see if tickets can be ordered.
After spending approximately two hours at the museum, we will then tour to the quaint village of Carpentaria and visit the community from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm at which time we will have dinner at the famous landmark Palms Restaurant Steak-House. You can cook your own steak, chicken or seafood or they will cook it for you. The full menu price range is $11.00-25.00.
Don’t miss this event. You will thoroughly enjoy the beauty of these automobiles and a great evening dinner!!
Time and Place: 10:30 am at Albertson’s parking lot at corner of 10th Street West and West Palmdale Blvd. We will then caravan to Starbucks (28160 Newhall Ranch Rd, Santa Clarita) and arrive approximately between 11:30 & 11:45 am to meet up with our members in that area.
