Description: A low-stress road rally/tour to Hermann, Mo., organized by the St. Louis Region, SCCA.
Start: Denny’s Restaurant, 1140 Technology Drive, O’Fallon, MO 63368 (I-64/40 & Hwy K).
Registration: Noon to 12:45 p.m. (Arrive early and enjoy breakfast at Denny’s).
Drivers meeting: 12:45 p.m.
1st car departs: 1:01 p.m.
What you need: A car (or van or SUV, etc.), a driver and a navigator, a clipboard and some pencils and paper, and an inclination to take a Sunday-afternoon drive.
Entry fee: $20.00 (cash or check, please, if you pay at registration the day of the rally).

The Great Pumpkin Challenge is a low-key question-and-answer gimmick road rally/tour of about 60 miles to Hermann, Mo. Expect paved public roads along Missouri’s Weinstrasse and ample time to enjoy the sights and sounds of Hermann in the run-up to the holiday season. Along the way, you will answer a few questions based on signs found along the rally route. The rally will end at the Hermannhof Winery complex in Hermann. (Among other things, Hermanhof has a new brewpub, the Tin Mill, located in an old grain elevator, across the street from the winery.) So join us for a great afternoon of driving scenic Rhineland roads. Families welcome. (Parents/guardians will have to sign waivers for minor children.)
Bottom line: Join us Nov. 22 for a casual and enjoyable afternoon of driving Missouri Rhineland roads.
About the St. Louis Region, SCCA. The SCCA’s St. Louis Region, with more than 700 members, offers Club Racing, Performance Driving Experience (PDX), RallyCross, RoadRally, Solo (autocross), and Street Survival School programs to educate and provide safe environments for individuals to enjoy their street-legal (daily driver) cars and purpose-built racecars. Event requirements
The standard SCCA rules regarding day-of-the-event road-rally registration will be observed (e.g., proof of valid drivers license and current auto insurance, vehicle inspection [self-inspection by the rally team], signing of waivers and release forms, including appropriate minor release and waiver forms). Appropriate forms will be available at registration.
