About this event
To kick off the 2016 season, the Glen Region will again host another Test & Tune event!
(followed on Sunday by our first Solo event of the season - register for Event #1 here)
Our Test & Tune is designed to give our entrants some valuable seat time to hone their skills or have some fun. But please note that this will not be an instructional event - another experienced driver may be willing to ride with you and offer some tips, but this is not a school.
The event will be limited to 50 entries to ensure maximum seat time and event flow. There will still be a run/work setup - so people will still need to shag some cones - and we will break for lunch. Timing will be set up but not recorded and this event will NOT count toward any season points. Entrants will be divided into 2 run groups that will alternate throughout the day in approximately 1 hour blocks. While their group is running, drivers are welcome to go back to the paddock to make changes/adjustments and get back in line.
NOTE: Karts are welcome to attend - and may be eligible for a reduced entry fee. Please contact the event chair (below) and let him know if you're interested.
Entrants for the T&T MUST register here on MSR prior to the event and MUST visit the Registration table the morning of the event to pay, sign the waiver, and complete registration!

Event Location
Both events for this weekend will be held on the main paddock space at Watkins Glen International. The paddock space will be in the smaller paddock area to the north of the main paddock (with the handicap parking and bathroom building). For specifically where we'll be, check this map.
Event Schedule
Given that this is not a points event, we'll try to condense the schedule as much as possible to keep drivers on course. But we will still need to have a brief drivers meeting and safety discussion and you'll still want to walk the course.

Event requirements
The Glen Region will only be using this system for pre-registration info only - but it is a requirement for the Test & Tune event! You will still be required to submit payment, sign the waiver, and complete your registration in person at the event. Entrants will need to show their valid driver's license (or permit) at registration the day of the event along with proof of valid SCCA membership (if available).
Test & Tune Entry Fee: $50
The entry fee will be the same for SCCA members and non-members. Non-members will be required to complete a Weekend Membership form to participate - but that weekend membership will also save you $10 on Sunday's Solo event! SCCA members that run both the T&T and the event on Sunday will also save $5 on entry.
Registration at the event will ONLY be open form 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.. Entrants for the Test & Tune MUST pre-register here on MSR to attend.
