Fort Wayne Region Sports Car Club of America presents:

Fort Wayne Region Solo School

Explanation:

The FWR Solo School is geared towards novice drivers who want more experience in the classroom and on the track.  A student will begin registering for the event at 8:00 in the morning.  After the student registers, they will have time to mingle with the other students and instructors.  The classroom session starts at 9:00 with an introduction from the Solo Director and then a session over what to expect when you come to a FWR event.  Next a student will learn about the basics of car control and how certain parts of the car interact with each other during racing.  There will be a break for lunch then the students will go out to the afternoon session.  During the afternoon session the students will be paired up with an instructor who is familiar with their car.  The instructors will teach from the passenger’s seat, but the student has the option to let the instructor drive their car to learn.  The students will have to work the course when they are not driving.  This is a good session to get used to the track for the points event for the next day.  After the afternoon session the Solo School will debrief for the day.   Lunch will be provided to the students for the Solo School.
