“Fall Drive to Cumberland Falls State Park”
With mid hundred degree temperatures still firmly imprinted on our minds, it’s nice to think about sweeter days ahead, and car season isn't over yet!
Last year our destination was Dale Hollow State Resort Park. If you’ve ever joined us for that trip you already know the route takes us through some beautiful countryside including a final leg out of Lexington for a long stretch of remarkable roads through the Daniel Boone National Forest! This year, we are returning to a prior destination - Cumberland Falls State Reosrt Park near Corbin on October 25-26.
The event is open to all BMW CCA members to join the fun, fall colors, food, and great conversation. We will depart from Don Jacobs BMW in Lexington, KY between noon and 1pm in our Ultimate Driving Machines to enjoy the fall weather as we tour some of Kentucky's best scenic roads down to the beautiful Dale Hollow Lake. We will have a group dinner at the lodge so we can relax with great company and great conversation (most likely about BMW's). Sunday departures are at your own leisure so stick around and explore all the fantastic state park has to offer!
You do NOT have to stay overnight to participate. We would love to have you join us just for the drive and/or dinner!!!!!!!

I have a 15 rooms blocked off for us at the Cumberland Falls State Resort Park. You will call and make your own reservation, 800-325-0063 or 606-528-4125, mention you are with the BMW Club, Bluegrass Chapter. They will only hold the rooms for us until 11:59pm, August 31. We will meet somewhere Saturday morning October 25, yet to be determined, drive back roads to Cumberland Falls State Park, have dinner at the lodge, stay the night, and then you are on your own to return on Sunday.
Cost:
There is no cost for the event, however, you will need to pay for your room at the resort and your dinner.
Here's what we have planned:
Saturday Morning - Continental breakfast at our respective starting
points before setting out for our rendezvous in Lexington
Saturday Noon - Lunch served in Lexington at our rendezvous
point
Along the way - a couple of "sag" stops to take a breather and stretch
Saturday Evening - Dinner at the Lodge. Dinner will be off the lodge buffet and participants will be responsible for purchasing meals but we have reserved a private party room to congregate during dinner and to hang out with friends later.
This is strictly a “BYOB” event.
