Solo events are driving skill contests that emphasize the driver's ability and the car's handling characteristics. This is accomplished by driving a course that is designated by traffic cones on a low hazard location, such as a parking lot or inactive airstrip. While speeds are no greater than those normally encountered in legal high-way driving, the combination of concentration and car feedback creates an adrenaline pumping experience.
Oscoda is a great little welcoming town with one heck of a concrete pad to race on. Please do yourself a favor and do not ignore this event thinking it is just "too far", the drive is beautiful and most importantly "worth it".
There will be a test and tune Friday for those looking to spend some time dialing in their set ups.
Saturdays event will be a ProSolo or mirror event where you best time from your left side course is added to the best time from the right side course to determine you final run time. You will get 8 runs (4 on each side) and this truly is a great way to try this format without the pressure or cost of a real SCCA ProSolo event.
Sunday will be a standard solo using the entire site. We usually like to start early and try to be on the road at a reasonable hour.

Setup: 10:00 am
Cars run immediately after Setup - 4:00PM
Registration available all day
Saturday Course Setup 4:00PM-6:00PM
Course walking 6:00PM until 9:00PM
Saturday, July 11th - Pro Solo
Registration and Tech: 8:00AM -9:00AM
Novice Walk and run format explanation: 9:00AM
Drivers Meeting: 9:30AM
First Car Off: 9:45AM
4 runs in the morning (two left and two right)
45 Minute lunch break
4 runs in the afternoon (two left and two right)
Time permitting there will be a single elimination run off challenge of the top 16 drivers in PAX
Sunday, July 20th - Solo
Registration and Tech: 8:00AM - 8:15AM
Course open for walking until 8:15AM
Drivers meeting: 8:15AM
Cars to grid: 8:20AM
First car off 8:30AM
Four runs scheduled
Site tear down and clean up immediately following
Registration:
Pre-registration is available and encouraged.
We enforce SCCA sound rules at all of our events.
Port-a-johns will be utilized at this site.
Trophies are handed out at the end of the event after the course is cleared of cones and the event truck is packed.
$35 for one day ($25 JR Kart)
$60 for both days ($40 JR Kart)
$30 Test and Tune only
$15 Test and Tune with event
Detroit Council (CCM, MSCC, AROC, etc) Weekend Membership +$5

Event requirements
ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST CHECK IN AT REGISTRATION ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT, REGARDLESS OF ONLINE REGISTRATION STATUS!
You must provide a valid driver's license.
Minor competitors (under the age of 18) MUST provide a minor waiver with BOTH parent's signatures.
