About this event
Backroads to the Bakery 2019
Start Spring with a scenic drive to lunch! But First, we can fuel up with a delicious local donut. We will have a 1 1/2 - 2 hour drive to lunch, filled with spectacular NW scenery, on backroads between Issaquah and Black Diamond. If the weather is clear, Mt Rainier will appear close enough to touch! We will traverse the farm country backroads south of Issaquah and even cruise up Tiger Mountain. We won't miss the chance to cruise Green Valley Road. Of course, this means there will be plenty of twists and turns to enjoy in your Porsche. Our lunch stop is in the historic heart of Black Diamond. The bakery is a favorite for locals and visitors year round. If we have clear skies, you'll be overwhelmed by the view of Mt Rainier. The bakery has a wide menu for lunch and breakfast served all day. Of course, this is the perfect place to decide if "lunch" includes a slice of their famous Strawberry/Rhubarb pie!
