Apex is changing the way we look at track days. We've eliminated the beginner/novice group to provide more track time and higher quality coaching for Intermediate and Advanced drivers. Our format offers drivers 3 hours of seat time, capped event attendance, and includes one complementary session of Data Coaching per event. Additional Data Coaching sessions are available for an added charge.
Apex has developed a data based approach to coaching which allows us to provide an individualized strategic learning platform. This level of granular, personalized coaching will take your abilities to new heights. During a Data Review Session we will evaluate your braking points, braking technique, throttle application, throttle release, overall driving line, and consistency. Whether you have recently been green lighted to drive solo or you are a seasoned veteran, our team of Pro-Coaches will help you dial-in your technique.
Event requirements
Apex Driving Events allows drivers to self-select the run group which best suits their skill level.In certain cases we will re-group drivers during the event for safety reasons. The Intermediate and Advanced run groups are capped at 25 drivers. The Open group is capped at 30.
P2 Intermediate:
The Intermediate Driver understands flags, proper passing techniques, and the line. The intermediate data curriculum focuses on refining the line and increasing lap to lap consistency.
P1 Advanced:
The Advanced Driver has mastered lap to lap consistency and has highly developed car control. Data coaching is comparative and focuses on helping drivers fine tune their abilities.
Open Group:
Open group is designed for experienced drivers and those who have racing experience. Data coaching will compare lap times against pro-drivers and focus on maintaining consistency in traffic.
Apex has a strict policy regarding any unsafe or dangerous driving during our events. We encourage our drivers to enjoy the events and work towards improving their abilities, BUT we will black flag any drivers we perceive to be driving in a manner over their head and outside of their respective abilities. All drivers will be held accountable for their actions; unsafe and dangerous driving will not be tolerated. We expect all drivers to be actively aware of their surroundings and to report any issues to Apex Personnel as soon as they occur. We also expect all drivers to learn A LOT and have a blast!
