ACNW Strassenlage '14

The Ridge Motorsports Park

About this event

Join Audi Club Northwest at The Ridge Motorsports Park (RMP) on Friday and Saturday, August 1-2, for Strassenlage 2014, sponsored this year by University Audi!

Strassenlage (handling!) is the name of this event on the ACNW Calendar, which by popular demand was expanded last year to two days!  This is the third year of events at the exciting Ridge Motorsports Park (1060 W Eells Hill Rd NE, Shelton, WA, 98584) and we are all excited to have this opportunity to run the very challenging course.

We have packages in MotorsportReg for both days, or either Friday or Saturday for solo or instructed lapping.  The two-day package is $405 and $265 for either Friday or Saturday.  Plenty of track time and a nicely served lunch is included both days.  All participants must be at least 18 years of age.  Fees for instructors who attended the Instructor Clinic in 2014, 2013 or 2012 are $0. Instructors who did not attend the instructor clinic will have a fee of $140 per day they instruct ($250 for both days).

Objectives for Strassenlage are to practice and refine the experience you gained from attending previous track events with Audi Club Northwest or other car club events, so we do have instructor support available.

To qualify for Strassenlage, drivers must have previously attended a Driver Skills Clinic (DS) Strassenlage is a lapping event only; there is no DS avaliable.  You will be asked to select your skill level as part of the registration process online. Attendance at a Driver Skills by another car club may be acceptable. Please check with the Event Master.

Please join us Friday (8/1) evening at 6:00pm for a no-host dinner in the Garden Room at the Grove Street Brewery, 233 S 1st St, Shelton, WA 98584.  When registering please indicate whether you will join us!  This will be an informal gathering to meet others from the event, for some good food and telling stories.

ACNA membership is required for this event.  Drivers who are not yet members, or who need to renew an existing membership, may handle that using the Audi Club North America website <http://www.audiclubna.org/membership>.

Registration pricing includes lunch. Guest lunches are available for $15. Note: When meals are a part of our events, ACNW will attempt to accommodate special dietary requirements if requested. However, meals are provided by third parties and circumstances may not always enable ACNW or its vendors to meet every special dietary need.

RV/tent camping is permitted at the RMP parking area for Thursday and/or Friday night provided they have a list of people beforehand.  Contact Doug if you are interested in camping overnight at the track.

Thank you and welcome to what will be a wonderfully challenging experience.

Event requirements

Drivers must have previously attended a Driver Skills Clinic (DS) to qualify for Strassenlage’14.  Instructors will be available for anyone who wants coaching, and for those who are not signed off to solo (Intermediate).  Please indicate the signoff in your Log Book for driver skill level when that question appears in the registration process.

Equal restraints must be provided for both the passenger and the driver.  For example, harnesses with 4, 5, or 6 point mounts used by the driver, must also be provided for the front seat passenger.  The roll bar must pass the “broomstick rule” such that a broomstick from the top of the windshield to the top of the roll bar is over the head of the driver. The TT convertible, A4 Cabriolet and S4 Cabriolet will not qualify for tech inspection without an aftermarket roll bar.  The Audi Club North America policy is posted on the Audi Club North America website under Event Rules for your review <http://www.audiclubna.org/images/forms/ACNA_Driving_School_Guidelines_2013-03-05.pdf>. Please contact us if you have any questions on these rules.
