Supercar Requirements The Loring Timing Association has developed this Supercar Class in order to meet the demand for a safe environment for motorsports fans to experience

Land Speed Racing. With that said, a lways remember that SAFETY is our main concern.The Loring Timing Association reserves the right to alter these rules to

accommodate changing conditions or findings as the event progresses.These requirements serve as an addendum to the full requirements and rules outlined in the Loring

Timing Association Rules and Records. All competitors shall read the preface and section 1 at a minimum to familiarize themselves the requirements and procedures of the LTA.

Be Advised: Any incident arising from vehicle racing is generally not covered by vehicle insurance.

This can include collision, property, and liability. We strongly recommend that participants check withtheir carrier or agent foradvice

Class Rules

:1.Only vehicles specifically authorized by the Technical Staffare allowed to participate (please consultthe database or the Race Director for authorization).

2.This class participates in timing at the length of 1 mile with no exceptions or special dispensationsFailure to begin deceleration after 1 mile will be grounds for

immediate dismissal of the team and potentially the entire supercar class from the event.

3.Vehicles speed is strictly limited to 200 mph. Failure to comply with this limit will be grounds for immediate dismissal of the team and potentially the entire supercar class from the event.

4.All drivers must complete orientation, drivers meeting, and supercar class meeting before competing.

5. All drivers must complete successive passes at 125 and 150mph to demonstrate control of the vehicle before progressing to 200 mph runs.

Section 1

-Vehicle Rules

1.1 The class is limited production supercars like late model Corvette, Cadillac CTSV, Nissan GTR, Ferraris , Porsches as examples.

1.2 All vehicles must be in factory stock condition with the exception of ECU or “Stage 1” modifications.

1.3 All vehicles must have been engineered and outfitted from the factory to be capable of theirmaximum speed attempted or 200 mph.

1.4 Modifications to increase the maximum speed of the vehicle to 175mph are not allowed.

1.5 The following items shal l be retained in stock location and of the same year as the body: frame,

fenders, hood, grille, drip rails (must not be filled), windows, door handles, window trim, headlights

(high and low beam), tail lights, radiator, front and rear bumpers and horn. Dec

als are not acceptable as meeting the head and tail light requirements. The stock gas tank must be fitted but

need not be used. The following modifications are not allowed:

1.6 Engine internal or external modifications

.1.7Air Ducts (Section 4.A), Air Vents (S ection 4.C), or headlight air intakes.
